A lot of smart fortwo owners gathered at the smart times event in Antwerp. In that occasion, these small car enthusiasts showcased their prized vehicles and mingled with other people of the same interest. In the same event, Daimler announced that they are releasing the four door version of the smart car again, in year 2014. World Record Made by the 2012 E63 AMG by Modern Horsepower

Modern Horsepower has been tuning Mercedes and AMG cars which are very powerful and dynamic. To add to the list of their numerous records, their latest project, 2012 E63 AMG became the World’s Quickest M157. The BiTurbo V8 car split the 60-130mph in 7.71 seconds, beating the previous holder of the record by .28 seconds. All these are in the Official 60-130mph List of 6SpeedOnline.com. Over 500 Mercedes-Benz City Buses Ordered for Brazilian Fleet Updates

The orders are piling up for Daimler and Mercedes-Benz Buses, especially in Brazil. As the country prepares for an influx of people for the 2014 World Cup as well as the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics, bus fleets in the country’s major cities are also gearing up with updates. The city of Fortaleza, which will host some of the soccer games for the World Cup, has a standing order of 135 BlueTec-5-equipped Mercedes-Benz city buses. Mercedes-Benz E 300 BlueTEC HYBRID Awarded A+ Efficiency Rating, Environmental Certificate

The Mercedes-Benz E 300 BlueTEC HYBRID has just been awarded a Class A+ energy efficiency rating along with an Environmental Certificate after going through the TUV Sud Life Cycle Assessment. The vehicle passed the tests conducted by the independent inspection body. It has been projected that the E 300 BlueTEC HYBRID produces 23 percent less CO2 emissions compared to an E 300 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY. That’s over the vehicle’s life cycle, from being a finished vehicle to being used for over 250,000 kilometers, and even through to recovery. Power and Elegance Based on Mercedes E500 by Vath

Vath has been tuning Mercedes –Benz vehicles for quite some time now, so we kind of expect them to create a new one based on the popular E500. Dubbed as the V50S, it’s all beefed up as it has customer air intake and ECU that brings the power up to 520HP and torque of 810Nm. It sprints at 0 to 5 mph in just 4.5 seconds. Another amazing change here is its braking system, which comes with 390mm rotors and 6-piston front axle. AMG to Engineer All Mercedes V12 Engines

V12 engines are known for many reasons, not least the obscene power that they can put out. Mercedes has often used these luxury powerhouses in flagship models to create hugely fast yet refined vehicles. In the face of increased pressure from the economically minded however, V12s are becoming increasingly rare. Reducing engine size seems to be a current trend too, with the A45 having only a turbocharged 2.0 liter. Fortunately, Mercedes have confirmed that these ultimate engines will remain in the line-up, and have announced their continuation for the time being.
