Mercedes-AMG E63 Used as Test Mule for 2020 SL Roadster

A Mercedes-AMG E63 sedan was recently seen circling the Nurburgring endurance track. The car is believed to be a test mule for the next-generation models of the SL Roadster and the AMG GT. At a glance, the AMG E63 does not seem to show any peculiar traits. However, a closer examination reveals that the sedan displays a wheelbase that is shorter than the existing E-Class. The vehicle also has a wider track, and there appears to be added aero parts on it like the winglets welded on the sides of its wide front bumper. Modifications on the side sills and fenders are evident too. In addition, the auto has a… Continue Reading »

Mercedes-Benz E-Class Gets Styling Updates From CLS

Newly released spy photos showed that the German car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz is working on a refreshed version of its midsize sedan, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class. The current W213-generation E-Class has been on sale since 2016, making it one of the most dated sedans that the German carmaker has in its lineup. Since the debut of the current-generation E-Class, we have seen Mercedes refresh the versions of both the C-Class and the S-Class. It also released new models such as the A-Class, CLA-Class, and CLS-Class. Thankfully, Mercedes finally had it in their minds that the E-Class needs some tweaking, too. According to the spy photos from Carpix, the refreshed version of the… Continue Reading »

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class Sedan is Getting a Facelift

More than two years after the unveiling of the fifth-generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class at the 2016 North American International Auto Show, it appears that the car is receiving a mid-cycle refresh. The new spy photos of the sedan confirm this. The images from Motor1 show a white E-Class that’s not too different from its current model. However, some parts at the front and rear are concealed by white foil wraps. Normally, the covered areas indicate where the significant changes will take place. Based on the layout of the car’s fascia, it will get new headlamps. There are hints also that it will get some of the styling elements found in front of the… Continue Reading »

Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain 4×4² Goes Extreme

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class Wagon is a nice family car but it is not built for off-roading. Even in its All-Terrain guise, is not designed for extremely rugged terrains—despite what its name suggests. However, if you turn it into a Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain 4×4², that’s a different story altogether. The 4×4 squared setup may have worked in the Mercedes-Benz G500 4×4², which is a proper SUV, but will it work with the family wagon? Before we get to that, let’s examine what the E-Class All-Terrain 4×4² is all about. The E-Class All-Terrain 4×4² was introduced last year. It was in its prototype build back then and we haven’t heard from it ever since…. Continue Reading »
