Bye Bye Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive

Mercedes-Benz USA confirmed that the production run of the Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive is at its end. The units of the B-Class after the 2017 model year will no longer offer an electric powertrain. According to Automotive News, the announcement came from the spokesman of the company, Rob Moran. He said that the production of the affected model will halt in the third quarter of this year. The Night Edition versions of the Mercedes-Benz A-Class and B-Class were launched recently. The cars will only be available in a limited number. Unfortunately, the models are only offered by Mercedes-Benz India for now. Mercedes-Benz may be adding a new SUV in its lineup. According to Carscoops, the three-pointed star brand just trademarked Mercedes-Benz GLB. The new product is poised to sit between the GLA and GLC. Daimler Boss Says No One Will Make Money on Electric Cars Yet

The Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive is now on sale, which received good reviews from critics. However, if money matters were to be considered, Daimler CEO Dr. Dieter Zetsche does not seem to be so confident about electric cars as of the moment.
