This new model was confirmed by Thomas Weber, the company’s head of research and development, who will be retiring at the end of this year, just on the eve of the Paris Motor Show. Weber said in an interview that the “next big thing” for AMG is already in the “pipeline.” They are going to create an AMG performance hybrid that features their Formula 1 drivetrain technology, and some will probably call it the hypercar. But no matter what industry experts want to call this new car from… Continue Reading »

2016 Mercedes G63 AMG 6X6: The Desert Daredevil

If you thought that the 2016 Mercedes G63 AMG 6X6 couldn’t get any more beastly than you were so wrong. What’s ridiculously cool about it isn’t that it exists, but that it’s a production vehicle. This means you can get one. Crazily enough, it is one of the most extravagant and effortlessly superior off-roader ever to be designed and built by mechanical engineers. Admittedly, the G-class has not changed much since its introduction, which only adds to its appeal. Okay, I agree. The luxury SUV segment consists of a long list of modern choices. But let’s face it, the Mercedes G63 AMG 6X6 remains the most coveted of four-wheelers on… Continue Reading »

The Making Of Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet TV Commercial

The “Amazed Again” TV commercial for the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet was produced in the stunning city of Berlin with director Sebastian Strasser at the helm of the project. Unlike other commercials that simply highlight the features of the vehicle—the technology, the engine, the fuel efficiency, the cargo capacity, etc.—”Amazed Again” worked in and around a central character for the story of his life starting when he was a kid from the 70s, his teenage life as a hippie, and his present-day urbanite lifestyle. At first, Strasser said they had difficulty in finding actors that would fit the description of the character. Instead of using computer graphics and professional make-up, the… Continue Reading »

There is a new Mercedes-Benz A-Class and we have the spy shots to show it. The prototype surprisingly revealed many of the details of the upcoming compact hatchback from Mercedes-Benz. Based on the images, the proportions and dimensions of this 2018 year model prototype will follow exactly those of the current model, which can be seen in most of the shots. The only thing that would change proportionally is the longer wheelbase as evidenced by the stretched rear doors. As a result, we can expect more space in the cabin than ever before. The prototype might be heavily camouflaged, but it didn’t stop us from evaluating what we might see… Continue Reading »
