Mercedes-Benz Plans To Put More Than 10 PHEVs On The Road By The End of 2019

Mercedes-Benz plans to revolutionize its entire lineup of cars by offering a range of EQ all-electric cars, EQ power plug-in hybrids, and EQ Boost 48V mild hybrids. This year, the German automaker will finally introduce its first EQC model around summer while its plug-in hybrid portfolio is set to expand to more than 10 models with gasoline and diesel options by the year’s end. Mercedes-Benz plans to electrify its entire product range by 2022, which is three years from now so it makes sense for the German company to start the transition this year. And by the end of 2020, the number of plug-in hybrids will increase to over 20… Continue Reading »

Mercedes-Benz EQC Makes Its Way to the US

The Mercedes-Benz EQC just arrived in the US. The first model under EQ brand of the three-pointed star marque was showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The EQC is a strong contender to the dominance of Tesla in the electric vehicle market. It particularly targets the American brand’s Model X. The Mercedes-Benz EQC takes many styling cues from the latest crossovers of its maker. The unit which it bears the most striking resemblance is the GLC Coupe. However, the German luxury brand earlier cleared out that the EQC will get a more distinctive design in the future, and the changes will come on a… Continue Reading »

Mercedes-Benz EQA Spied on the Road

A new Mercedes-Benz hatchback is on the loose. We believe that the car might be the Mercedes-Benz EQA. A new spy video puts focus on an A-Class-like car getting test driven. The vehicle appears unmistakably a Mercedes because of its nose layout, and although hidden by a camouflaged wrap, the front grille suggests that a three-pointed star logo is beneath it. What is unusual about the vehicle though is that it is too quiet. A close look at its rear reveals that it is missing one key crucial element. Yes, the exhaust pipe is nowhere to be seen! Those details could only mean that the unit is an electric vehicle…. Continue Reading »

Mercedes-Benz Goes All-In on Electric Vehicles with More Than $12B Investment

Mercedes-Benz just launched the Mercedes-Benz EQC crossover on September 4, 2018, virtually marking the beginning of its assault on the electric vehicle segment of the market. The move puts the German luxury car maker head-to-head against the California-based Tesla. According to Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche, they have originally planned to invest €10 billion ($12 billion) for their EV push. However, he told reporters that they have spent “more than that”. He didn’t specify the figures though. “There is no alternative to betting on electric cars, and we’re going all in,” Zetsche stated. “It is starting right now,” he added. The arrival of the Mercedes-Benz EQC seems to be a bad time… Continue Reading »

Pitting the Mercedes-Benz EQC Against the Tesla Model X

It’s hard not to compare these two when the Mercedes-Benz EQC, which stands for electric intelligence, was made specifically to compete with Elon Musk’s Tesla Model X. So let’s pit the new Mercedes electric SUV against its American rival in terms of exterior, interior, and performance. Exterior The Model X has a futuristic and yet simple design. It has a pretty basic body structure that is attractive enough but doesn’t really shine out. The small headlights and the single slat grille are standouts, as well as the Tesla logo and air dams on either side of the bumper. The EQC, on the other hand, has an elegant structure that we… Continue Reading »

2020 Mercedes-Benz EQC To Get More Distinctive Designs

When the 2020 Mercedes-Benz EQC all-electric crossover was revealed earlier this week, there was a collective sigh of disappointment largely due to the fact that the design was rather bland. There was no distinctive feature on the crossover and it lacks the aggressive styling that we come to expect from the Generation EQ concept. However, it looks like this was a deliberate attempt for the German luxury carmaker to make the first all-electric crossover under its EQ brand to lack the radical features of the concept version. EQ sales and marketing chief Jorg Heinemann told Autocar that for now, Mercedes is simply concerned with establishing a “starting point” for the… Continue Reading »

Top 4 Things You Need to Know About the Mercedes-Benz EQC Electric Vehicle

The Mercedes-Benz EQC electric vehicle is finally here! Mercedes just unveiled the EQC400 4MATIC model of the range on September 4, 2018, in Stockholm, Germany. It may not look as futuristic as the Mercedes-Benz Concept EQ but there’s a lot to be excited about in the three-pointed star brand’s electric-powered crossover sport utility vehicle. 1. Design Thanks to the previous spy shots and teasers, we already have an idea of what to expect from the Mercedes-Benz EQC. The electric crossover looks like an evolution of the Mercedes-Benz GLC.
