Hamilton wins 2016 German Grand Prix

A disastrous start at the 2016 German Grand Prix cost Nico Rosberg three places right away. Then off went Lewis Hamilton to his sixth win in seven races. Rosberg actually managed to fight back into a battle for P2. Halfway through, however, he drove Red Bull’s Max Verstappen off the track, a maneouver for which the stewards slapped Rosberg a five-second penalty. The German wasn’t too thrilled at that, with some very tough remarks at the end of the race. “Without the penalty I was in front of the Red Bulls; with the penalty I couldn’t challenge them.” Of course, maybe Rosberg should remember not to run people off the track next… Continue Reading »

Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster Prototype Caught On Camera

Following the launch of the Mercedes-AMG GT R, it appears the luxury vehicle manufacturer has another GT model up its sleeve. Spy shots of a prototype of another GT model emerged recently, as shown on a report from autoevolution.com. A leaked document showing upcoming launches of the company indicated the designation of the latest model as the Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster. Even with the full camouflage, the spy shots showed the GT C will come with a soft top. Different angles of the AMG GT C were shown on the spy shots. Since the current model of the Mercedes-Benz GLE uses a 2012 ML platform, the engineers of the luxury vehicle manufacturer are already working on the next generation of the luxury crossover. The early stages of development became evident after a test mule for the 2019 model of the GL was spotted recently, as shown on a report from autoevolution.com. The current model of the GLE is simply meant to temporarily sate the appetite of the market for a luxury crossover. Spy Shots of Mercedes-AMG S63 Sedan Facelift Emerge

A prototype of an upcoming Mercedes-AMG S63 Sedan facelift was spotted recently as it went through testing, as shown on a report from motor1.com. The sighting of the luxury sedan comes after a prototype of the S63 Coupe was also spotted showing that the Mercedes-AMG GT R served as its inspiration. Camouflage was limited to the front bumper of the upcoming S63 Sedan facelift as shown on the spy shots. Despite the disguised, it was clear that the front intakes were bigger compared to the current model of the luxury vehicle. While BMW is preparing to reveal its own pickup truck range, Mercedes-Benz has already scheduled the unveiling of its pickup truck in 2017. The Mercedes-Benz pickup truck will be carrying the GLT name and it will be tagged with a 2018 model year. As reported earlier, the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLT will be based on the platform used by the latest Nissan NP300 Navara. Based on what Diane Tarr, Mercedes-Benz Vans managing director in Australia, hinted last year, the GLT will carry a more premium feel, technology and performance patterned after the standards of Mercedes. It appears the four-year cycle for a facelift may not hold true with the S-Class Coupe as spy images of next generation Mercedes-AMG S63 Coupe emerged recently, as indicated through a report from motor1.com. The camouflage on the mid-cycle facelift of the luxury coupe covers the front and rear bumpers, which gives an indication that the changes may be limited to these sections. Much of the changes may be on the front bumper as it may undergo some restyling to fit the A-shaped apron of an AMG vehicle.
