Upcoming Mercedes-Benz G-Class Spied

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class has been in production since 1979, which makes it the longest existing SUV range of its brand. Recently, a new model of it was spotted in full camouflage while undergoing testing. Based on the spy photos of the new G-Class, the auto still carries its signature classic and boxy design. Well, for an SUV that is still popular and in demand despite having been in existence for almost 40 years, Mercedes appears to be very careful in introducing changes to it that may destroy its reputation with both potential customers and fans. However, the source claimed the coming G-Class appears to be wider than the current one. The… Continue Reading »

Mansory Tunes the Mercedes-Benz G500 4×4 Squared

Early this month, we have witnessed the work of Brabus with the Mercedes-Benz G500 Squared or the Mercedes-Benz G500 4×42. Not to be outdone, German tuning firm Mansory also did the same to the vehicle. Mansory chose the sky blue version of the Mercedes-Benz G500 4×42 to highlight its new G-Class package. The upgrade provided a boost in the iconic SUV’s engine plus some cosmetic changes in both its exterior and interior. Mansory retained the 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine of the G500 4×42. However, the tuner increased the output of the G-Class by 62 hp. So from the standard 416 hp produced by the SUV, the specialist cranked up the numbers to a total of 478 hp. The torque… Continue Reading »

Mercedes G-Wagen 4×4 Squared Gets Tuned By Brabus

The Mercedes G-Wagen is not the first vehicle you’ll have in mind if you want something tuned. It has a body-on-frame chassis and 50-year-old origins—Mercedes clearly did not intend for it to be a performance car. Besides, the G-Wagen has a far inferior aerodynamics compared to anything Brabus has put their magic on before. Well, it seems Brabus will not be put off by an underperforming Mercedes anytime soon. The tuning company announced a tuned version of the G500 4×42, which means the Mercedes G63’s 6×6 enormous tires and portal axles can now be found under the regular, four-wheeled G-Wagen. Inside, Brabus has colored the G-Wagen a shade of electric blue… Continue Reading »

Mercedes-Benz “Beyond The Action” Explores BASE Jumping

How does one take charge of life? How do we slow it down to savor each and every moment that passes us by? In a 2:59 video posted by Mercedes on video-sharing site YouTube, its “Beyond the Action” film series follows the seemingly mundane life of BASE jumper Simon Guthrie as he walks out of his job and follows the New Zealand trail of jumping off a waterfall. Accompanying Guthrie, of course, is a well-equipped Mercedes-Benz G-Class, which is as badass as the art of BASE jumping. Can you imagine a more suitable vehicle to take into your adventure? 2017 Mercedes-Benz G350 Professional Is The Rugged Version Of The G-Class

The 2017 Mercedes-Benz G350 Professional is replacing the G300 CDI, and is essentially the updated version of the G-Wagen Professional. It’s the rugged and utilitarian version of the G-Class minus the leather and Alcantara-lined interior or the AMG engines. The exterior of the G350 Professional is as rugged as it comes. Its all-black color scheme takes that ruggedness a notch higher, along with the 16-inch wheels with all-terrain tires. You can choose from a wide variety of colors aside from black. There are two non-metallic finishes and 11 metallic colors available. But aside from these interesting mix of colors, the G350 Professional also packs protective side steps, protective guards on… Continue Reading »

Key Reasons to Go for the 2016 Mercedes-Benz G65 AMG

Let’s get this out of the way, the 2016 Mercedes-Benz G65 AMG is not nearly as good as the earlier G63 with a V8 engine, but it does have qualities that make us reach for that $225,000 we hopefully have stash somewhere and spend it on this square-jawed SUV. When you slice up the G65, you’ll find the components as old as some 1979 vehicle. But, the G-Class is certainly having a moment these days despite its advanced age and expensive price tag. The last two years saw the rise of sales in the G65. In April alone, its sales increases 19.1 percent year-on-year in the United States. The G65… Continue Reading »

LAPV Version of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class Spied

Can military vehicles be any cooler than this? Recent spy shots revealed that Mercedes-Benz is working on a new version of its G-Class-based Light Armored Patrol Vehicle, or the LAPV. These vehicles are especially developed for military use, so its major features would remain to be an upgraded armor protection and boosted suspension system, among other things, of course. The last LAPV, called the LAPV 5.4, was introduced back in 2008. Since then, the company has been silent about any plans to upgrade the LAPV. That ends now, of course. Its newest successor has recently been spotted going through a cold-weather testing near the Arctic Circle. That’s a welcome scene for… Continue Reading »
