Mercedes F1 Car Wins Goodwood Handicap Race

The Mercedes F1 car, the W04 driven by the present World Champion Lewis Hamilton during his entry with Mercedes-AMG Petronas in 2013, made an appearance in the 73rd Members’ Meeting held at Goodwood Motor Racing Circuit. The race car didn’t only show off its amazing architecture, but it also competed against its fellow Mercedes cars in a handicap race. The Mercedes F1 car was pitted against the Mercedes-Benz W190 300 SEL AMG, also known as the “Red Pig”. The classic auto is popular for finishing second in the 24 Hours of Spa back in 1971. Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Confirmed for Lime Rock Historics 2015

The iconic Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR will be making its appearance at the Lime Rock Historics 2015, which will be held from September 3 to 7. The W196 Formula One Grand Prix car will also make it to the event. Together with the cars are the racing legends Sir Stirling Moss and Jochen Mass. The Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR, with the body number 722 was driven by Moss and Denis Jenkinson to victory in the 1955 Mille Miglia race. New season, more of the same. That’s how it looked — and they made it look easy — for the Mercedes team at the opening of the 2015 Formula One season in Australia. Lewis Hamilton took the race win ahead of teammate Nico Rosberg for another Mercedes one-two finish, showing the world that the team-to-beat has not changed. F1: Mercedes opens 2015 season in front row at Australian GP

Lewis Hamilton will be opening his title defense in pole position as the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 team claimed its first front-row lockout after Saturday’s qualifying session for the Australian Grand Prix. The 2014 drivers champion relatively easily beat out teammate Nico Rosberg, 1:26.327 to 1:26.921, in action reminiscent of the majority of last season’s give and take between the two in-team rivals. Behind the Mercedes cars, other teams were close in Q3. Felipe Massa (1:27.718) continued where he left off in 2014 with a great qualifying to start the new season. The Mercedes-AMG GT3 Super Beast is Out

As promised, Mercedes debuted its GT3 race car. The automaker simply called it the Mercedes-AMG GT3. The launching of the variant was made at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The car uses the Mercedes-AMG GT platform. However, it has been embedded with FIA GT3 specs. It houses racing steering wheel, pedals, carbon fiber shell seat, radio, extra push buttons and knobs. Also, it is lined with a roll cage for the protection of its occupants. Wicked Photos of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 Emerge Online

Earlier, a teaser image displaying just the front of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 was shown to us. A couple of hours ago, more photos showing the various angles of the car were officially released. The pictures of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 were captured at the Estoril circuit in Portugal. The supercar showed a wider body than the standard AMG GT variant. It also featured major aerodynamic enhancements like larger intakes, redesigned front bumper, and massive rear wing. F1 2015: Mercedes concludes Barcelona testing with mixed results

After four days of rigorous testing at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona, the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 team was able to complete a total of 444 laps over the track, allowing drivers Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg to get some significant run in the new F1 W06 hybrid. Day four saw Rosberg post a second-best lap time of 1:24.321 and a total of a whopping 131 laps. His time was eclipsed only by the Lotus of Romain Grosjean, who tallied 111 laps with a best time of 1:24.067.
