Opus Automotive is Working on a 1,111-HP Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series

The Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series still holds the distinction as the fastest road-legal car to ever lap the Nurburgring, but seeing more room for a wild power boost, some tuners have already tinkered with the mechanicals of the auto to surpass its factory-set output. Another tuner looking to do just that is Opus Automotive, which is aiming to give the car a total of 1,111 hp. Opus Automotive is formerly known as Renntech Europe. The Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro sits just below the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series but there seems to be a lot of performance gap to fill between the two. The new tuning package of RENNtech bridges their outputs by bringing the AMG GT Pro’s power to 669 HP, and it adds a couple of aerodynamics and handling upgrades to further up its game. On the sidelines this week though is PerformMaster’s latest project with the Mercedes-AMG G63 because the tuner managed to boost the performance of the iconic sport utility vehicle above the level of the Black Series.
