Drifting With Lewis Hamilton On A Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG

It seems the driving skills of Lewis Hamilton is not only limited to the racetrack after he put the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG for a spin . . . literally, as shown on a report from autoevolution.com. The Formula One driver drifted and made donuts at the Brooklands motor racing circuit as the members of his team watched from the sidelines in Weybridge recently. Hamilton took some time off from the racetrack and worked on the E63 AMG at Weybridge, which can be considered his second home. Weybridge is the location of Mercedes-Benz World where five courses are ready for use by the ace F1 driver. The courses also serve as… Continue Reading »

2016 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Motorsport Edition Seen in the Flesh

Mercedes-Benz just unveiled the new facelifted A-Class. Among them was the Motorsport Edition. Recently, one of its pre-production models was spotted roaming the roads of Germany. As seen in the official photos provided by the brand previously, the distinguishing feature of the Mercedes-Benz A-Class Motorsport Edition is its petrol green highlights. The bumpers, rims, and side mirror caps all come with that hue. Those who will be ordering the A250 Sport or the 4MATIC model of the variant will have a rear wing spoiler with the same theme too. Although it is hard to tell in the video, the interior trims in the hatchback’s premium black leather surfaces as well as the seat belts and air vents will also follow… Continue Reading »

Look at the MR Car Design Mercedes SLS AMG GT and SL 65 AMG

The Mercedes SLS AMG GT is one of the icons in the naturally-aspirated V8 era. On the other hand, the Mercedes SL 65 AMG houses a V12 devil within its deceivingly stylish exterior. As I was browsing random stuff in social networks, I came across the Facebook page of the German tuner MR Car Design. From there, two of its new posts caught my attention. These featured two beautifully made shots of the Mercedes SLS AMG GT and Mercedes SL 65 AMG. The details about the two are very scarce. It also appears that no information about the products are available in MR Car Design’s official website yet. But these two looked customized at some point. Based… Continue Reading »

Something Fast is Coming: It’s the Mercedes-AMG C63 S Coupe

Last week, we covered the teaser video of Mercedes-AMG hinting that “Something Fast is Coming.” While the clip uploaded by the company in YouTube did not show any car or even any part of it in the teaser, it did carry a familiar sound. Tuning up the volume a bit while watching the video above will reveal a sound similar to the noise produced by the Mercedes-AMG GT’s 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine, albeit it was louder than the standard. Since we already have the Mercedes-AMG GT S, we initially suspected that the teaser might be about the production version of the Mercedes-AMG GT3. Although our assumption is highly probable, the new photos… Continue Reading »

Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe Spied with Minimal Camo

New spy shots of the upcoming Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe recently surfaced. Based on how little camouflage it had in the released photos, the next compact SUV of the three-pointed star brand definitely looks ready for the big leagues. Mercedes already unveiled the standard GLC last month. So it is puzzling why the spy shots of its coupe version here still had parts of its front bumper and headlights hidden. Could it feature changes compared from its standard SUV variant? We can’t say for sure, but it is unlikely unless we are looking at the AMG Sport or full-badged AMG editions of the auto. In this case, this is certainly not the… Continue Reading »

FIA: No More Dummy Pit Stops in Formula One

The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) warned teams in Formula One that it will no longer allow dummy pit stops in the sport. The governing body of F1 said it is against the rules, and anyone who will be employing it in the future will face sanctions. It was clear that the statement of the organization was obviously triggered by the play made by Mercedes-AMG Petronas during the British Grand Prix. The team employed the tactic during the end of lap 14 while it was running head-to-head with Williams. Viewers could see that the crew of Mercedes suddenly rushed to the scene appearing to be in anticipation of a pit… Continue Reading »

A Closer Look at the Mercedes Parking Pilot System

Among the highlights of Mercedes-Benz cars over the years are convenience and technological innovations. Based on reports, the company is gearing to release a boatload of technological updates again in the 2017 model year Mercedes-Benz E-Class. These are designed to provide better comfort, navigation, performance and safety features. Among the updates generating a lot of buzz over the Internet is the brand’s auto-parking feature called the Parking Pilot System. As revealed to us earlier, the Parking Pilot System of Mercedes is similar to the Remote Control Parking system introduced in the 2016 BMW 7-Series. Basically, the feature allows the car to park itself even in tight spaces. It uses on-board… Continue Reading »
