The Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe Concept was the primary attraction at the 2015 Shanghai Motor Show. The compact SUV concept was unveiled alongside the long wheelbase version of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class 4MATIC, which will be offered exclusively in China.

Thanks to GT Spirit, we were able to get hold of a few live photos of the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe Concept during the Shanghai event. Check them out in the gallery below:

According to reports, Mercedes will launch the GLC Coupe sometime in 2016. The company will also put the compact SUV on sale in that same year. The Mercedes GLC Coupe Concept is groomed as a potential rival to the likes of the BMW X4 as well as the Porsche Macan.

The standard model of the SUV is equipped with a petrol-powered 3.0-liter biturbo V6 engine. Then, the output of the auto is 362 hp with a 520 Nm of torque. In addition, the power of the vehicle is distributed through a nine-speed automatic gearbox in all of its four wheels.

The source suggested though that the engine configuration of the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe might be updated later on to closely follow the output of the latest C-Class. So, what we are looking at now is not yet final.

Earlier, Mercedes-Benz revealed that they will release seven models of the GLC Coupe. Aside from the usual diesel, AMG Sport, hybrid, and full-fledged AMG variants, the company indicated the auto will have a Shooting Brake version too.
