Hofele Design Takes the Mercedes-AMG G63 to the Next Level

Giancarlo Perlas April 4, 2021

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class is truly an iconic vehicle that traces its humble beginnings as a military vehicle. It traces its history back to 1979 when sport utility vehicles when not yet a social trend. From then on, it gradually evolved into the dream SUV that it is today, which is even highly sought-after by high-profile personalities. Recently, Hofele Design released another bespoke enhancement for the Mercedes-AMG G63 variant of the range to further up its game.

The new package of the company for the G-Class is called HG 63 Sport. It focuses on making the vehicle more luxurious and sportier through a matte Moonbeam Silver finish with contrasting matte Carbon elements for the wheel arches, unique front bumper styling, electrically-operated side steps incorporated on the side exhausts, carbon spare wheel cap at the back, and custom “Liquid Black Chrome” front grille with the Hofele logo.

The interior is highlighted by Hofele’s “Style Two” individual rear seating arrangement that includes a central console, wireless charging, storage, and display. Each seat at the back is also electrically adjustable with memory settings, a fully reclining backrest, heating, and ventilation to provide a VIP feel for the passengers. Even the rear legroom is increased, and it is complemented by the wide-opening rear doors. In addition, the interior upholstery comes with “Bengal Red” Nappa leather and Alcantara, lamb wool rugs, carbon trims, and diamond stitching.

The modifications for the AMG G63 do not include an engine tune. But for the record, the SUV already possesses a powerful 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 power unit capable of 577 hp and 627 lb-ft torque. Hofele makes it up though by amplifying the sweet V8 sound of the auto using a “valve controlled” exhaust system that can be activated with mere a touch of a button.

The modified Mercedes-AMG G63 featured in the photos here is approximately €300,000 plus taxes. However, it should be noted that the price can go up depending on the optional add-ons selected by each customer. The company claims that the wide array of Bespoke choices they have for buyers ensures that no two HG 63 Sport units are alike.
