F1: Mercedes Prioritizing Reliability for Schumi

With five retirements in the 7 races so far in the 2012 Formula One season, many are thinking this year might be the last we see of Michael Schumacher in a Mercedes uniform. Still, the Mercedes AMG Petronas team is gearing up to make sure that reliability problems will no longer affect Schumi’s subsequent races. At the last race, the Canadian GP, Schumacher was on pace to finish in the lower end of the points but had to retire when his ride’s DRS got stuck open. Amazing 2 year-Old Kid Knows Car Brands

Well, this video does not have anything to do with tuning kits or Mercedes-Benz news, but it is certainly worth watching. I have an excuse for writing about it though, the kid saw a Mercedes and she knows that it is one. Good kid. Aside from that, this baby’s name is Sasha Mercedes. In this clip you would see a baby strolling on a street parking lot, his dad is pushing the stroller and asking the kid about the cars they see. Mercedes SLS AMG Covered in Matte Gold

Some of the most interesting Mercedes versions were found in Dubai, one is the SLS AMG by Hamman and the other is the matte red SL65 AMG. SR Auto Group’s Version of the Mercedes CLS63 AMG

It looks like tuning companies have found a new favorite in the CLS63 AMG. Almost every week a new tuning kit for the amazing car is being launched, and now it is SR Auto Group’s turn. The Canadian tuner called it the Stratos, and is based on the older generation of the CLS. Daimler Turns to Hungary to Lower Costs and Aid Production

As Hungary continues to provide car manufacturers with a relatively low-cost alternative for automotive production, Daimler has also turned to the country to bolster its capabilities and meet increased demand. Just this March, Mercedes-Benz enjoyed getting a new production facility operational in the city of Kecskemet. Hungary is an attractive location for automakers thanks to the lower taxation as well as the low costs for skilled labor. Smart fortwo e-drive now in Production

In Hambach, France the smart fortwo e-drives are starting to roll. Because lots of people are now into the environment and taking care of it, Daimler considered it important to create a car that will cater to these individuals, thus the launch of the smart fortwo electronic drive.
