With the upcoming replacement of the Defender of Land Rover, some industry watchers are hoping that the Mercedes-Benz G-Class will receive a makeover soon. While compact cars are the primary driving force behind the banner year of German car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz, the company has high hopes for its growing SUV line. With that, the company is launching a new marketing campaign for its SUVs. It’s all about showing you that the Mercedes SUV range is “At home in every terrain”—that’s the overarching catchphrase for the SUVs. The exterior of the G-Wagen has not gone through a major enhancement since it was initially introduced in the 1970s. Due to this, it is only fitting for Carlex Design to provide the Mercedes-Benz G-Class a retro-looking styling package for its interior cabin, as shown on a report from motorward.com. The vintage interior design for the G-Class does not actually reflect the 70s look since the wood and leather design features are evocative of the 80s and 90s. Swiss extreme sportsman and explorer Mike Horn embarked on an incredible journey from Château-d’Oex in Switzerland all the way to Pakistan and the second highest mountain in the world, K2.
