GAD Mercedes-AMG C63 Unleashes All 1,000 HP On Track

Giancarlo Perlas February 6, 2023

Gone were the days when a thousand horsepower was only reserved for track-focused cars. Now, even passenger cars like the Mercedes-AMG C63 are getting it. At the recent Flevo Auto Show in the Netherlands, one particular high-performance C-Class further tuned by GAD Motors showcased its capabilities on track.

The video here shows an AMG C63 4MATIC reportedly packing 1,000 hp, thanks to upgrades from GAD. It’s seen racing other tuned cars, including the BMW M140i with 700 hp from Pure Turbo, Mercedes-AMG E63 S with 1,200 hp, and a modified Jeep Cherokee. The challenger that’s evenly matched with the Merc though appears to be the Honda Civic Turbo VTEC AWD with 1,050 hp by Sneaky Tuning.

There are no specific details on the AMG C63’s state of tune and it’s also hard to make out the kind of upgrades found in its engine just by looking at it. However, snapping a turbocharger upgrade and putting more displacement on the V8 engine of the auto are the usual recipes that do the job. On the other hand, it was suggested that its rival Honda in the video has a new turbo.

After testing its capabilities with the other cars, the AMG C63 and the Civic hatch finally face off. The Honda gets a good launch during the race but the Merc eventually catches up with it when its power finally kicks off. It’s not clear who won the match but it appears that it was a really close finish between the two.
