Classic Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5 16 EVO Receives Modern C63 AMG Engine, Transmission, And More

Back in the 1980s to the early 1990s, the Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5 16 Evolution was the most popular car produced by the German company. Of course, Mercedes decided to end its production because of the changing landscape of the auto industry. Besides, the 190E’s four-pot engine will not be able to handle the 6-cylinders and V-8s of today. However, is it possible to see the same body of the 190E with a more powerful and modern Mercedes engine? That’s what Piper Motorsport hopes to unleash with their “Frankenstein Benz,” aptly called because it marries the body of the 190E (complete with the body kit for the complete look of the… Continue Reading »

Fostla Tunes The Mercedes-AMG GT R With 641 HP

For some, even the 577-horsepower Mercedes-AMG GT R is not enough. It seems that our need to see fast and able cars is truly insatiable that German car tuner Fostla tuned it to produce a whopping 641 horsepower. The brand’s “stage 1” tune with an addition of a BMC racing filter did not only up the power output, but it also increased the torque from 516 pound-feet to 567 pound-feet. This means that the GT R is almost in the same category as the Huracan Performante, though the latter’s power comes from an all-wheel-drive. The tuned up GT R also now exceeds the power of the new Huracan Evo but… Continue Reading »

We just saw the Mercedes-Benz GLS making its rounds. Lately, there have been sightings of the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe too. The unit was only wearing a little amount of camouflage, so we can clearly see its side panels, hood, roof, and lights. The only covered areas of the auto were its bumpers, side skirts, badges, and front grille. The layout of the wrapped components suggests that the vehicle is definitely AMG. The bumpers, particularly the front with a protruding lip spoiler, appear sportier than the ones fitted on the standard… Continue Reading »

Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S is the Fastest SUV in the Ring

Earlier, AMG boss Tobias Moers said that they are not interested in setting new records on the Nurburgring Nordschleife track with their One hypercar. However, their actions as of late have contradicted their statement as the Mercedes-AMG GT S 4-Door claimed the “fastest fully-fledged four-seater production car” title on the circuit, and recently, the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S took the mantle of being the fastest series-production sport utility vehicle to conquer the track. A new video released by AMG shows the AMG GLC 63 S taking on the Nurburgring challenge. The SUV logged a notarized time of 7:49:369 on the 20.8 km lap. Before the AMG GLC 63 S took the crown,… Continue Reading »
