RENNtech Mercedes-AMG GT R Smoked by the Chiron and 911.2 Turbo

What happens if you pit a Mercedes-AMG GT R against the Bugatti Chiron and the Porsche 911.2 Turbo. We already have a picture of what will happen to the car bearing the three-pointed star here, but what if it has undergone the forges of RENNtech? The AMG GT R carries a 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine capable of producing up to 577 hp. However, the one in the video here had its output boosted at 760 hp by RENNtech. While the numbers of the Mercedes may sound very impressive, it is still dwarfed by the 911.2 Turbo’s tuned engine that produces 800 hp. On the other hand, its power is nearly half only… Continue Reading »

Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Claims Nurburgring Lap Record

The Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door just went around the 12.8-mile track of the Nurburgring Nordschleife. Using the AMG GT 63 S version of the car, it set a lap time of 7:25.41. Mercedes immediately went on to claim bragging rights as the automaker said that it’s new record set by a four-door production car. The claim of Mercedes is hotly contested by Jaguar though. In 2017, the XE SV Project 8 of the British automaker finished a whole lap on the endurance track in 7:21.23. Like the AMG GT 4-Door, it is a four-door production car, although limited only in 300 samples. The feat of Jaguar was achieved by removing the… Continue Reading »

Mercedes-AMG A35 Sedan Spotted Testing

The first entry of the Mercedes-Benz A-Class Sedan to the AMG brand was spotted while undergoing testing. The features of the car indicate that it is the Mercedes-AMG A35 Sedan model. The spy shots of the AMG A35 Sedan from Motor1, only show the vehicle partially covered in camouflage. The roof, sides and boot lid of the car are all exposed. It seems there’s no point in hiding them anyway since we already saw the AMG A35 hatchback at the Paris Auto Show last month. We are expecting the AMG A35 Sedan to carry the same sporty upgrades on the bumper, air intakes, side skirts, rear diffuser, dual exhaust pipes… Continue Reading »

2020 Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 Spied on a Test Drive

There’s a sighting of another Mercedes-Benz sport utility vehicle in the works. This time, it’s the 2020 model of the Mercedes-AMG GLS 63. Even with the heavy zebra camouflage covering almost everything, the dimensions, body shape, stance, and windows design definitely suggest that what we are looking at is most likely the GLS SUV. However, those who are very familiar with the brand might notice that the auto is a high-performance variant. We have already seen the 2019 GLS in another spy video earlier. It should be recalled that Mercedes didn’t even bother hiding the front grille of the vehicle. The one here though has its radiator grille covered, which hints… Continue Reading »
