Mercedes-AMG Will Only Offer All-Wheel Drive for Next-Gen Models

Mercedes-AMG CEO Tobias Moers revealed that they will be phasing out the rear-wheel drive models of their lineup. The high-performance division of Mercedes will only offer all-wheel drive units for their next-generation vehicles. Moers told Autocar that they will fully execute their move to adopt AWD for all their vehicles by 2021. It will also coincide with the electrification of all AMG models. The Moers explained that there’s a very low demand for RWD cars nowadays. He cited the AMG E-Class as an example for this trend. Facelifted Mercedes-AMG GT Production Starts in Sindelfingen

After the dramatic launching of the facelifted Mercedes-AMG GT, Mercedes-Benz finally greenlights its production at the company’s Sindelfingen plant in Germany. The new AMG GT is now produced alongside the Mercedes-Benz S-Class , E-Class, CLS, GLA and Mercedes-Maybach cars. Vehicles under the Mercedes-Benz EQ range will also be assembled there. Daimler said that 250 vehicles are being delivered everyday to the Mercedes-Benz Customer Center in Sindelfingen. The plant employs over 25,000 people. The Mercedes-AMG C43 just debuted a little over a year ago. However, the tuners at Performmaster High Performance have already successfully developed a new kit for the sedan. The package raises its power and gives it a new look. Engine The AMG C43 is equipped with a 3.0-liter biturbo V6 engine. The unit produces 385 hp and 384 lb-ft of torque.
