You will never get a shortage of spy photos if you have access in Nurburgring. Recently, spies caught a variant of the Mercedes-Benz GLE in the endurance track. What made this model special is that it is a plug-in hybrid—a feature that was given away when the vehicle was caught juicing up its battery in a charging station. Mercedes-Benz has a new addition to its fuel-efficient variants. Recently, details of the Mercedes-Benz C350 Plug-in Hybrid was revealed to Auto Express. Petrol Engine and Electric Motor Instead of the 3.0-liter V6 engine found in the Mercedes-Benz S500 Plug-in Hybrid, the new version of the C-Class will be using a 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine capable of producing up to 208 bhp. Then, the engine is combined with an electric motor to provide it an additional output of 80 bhp. The power of the car is distributed through its seven-speed automatic transmission gearbox. The latest promotional video released by Mercedes-Benz focuses on the efficiency of the S-Class, which is comparable with a Mercedes-Benz-AMG Formula One vehicle. The video clip is entitled, “The Best.” It highlights the fuel efficient powertrains of the S500 Plug-In Hybrid and Formula One cars. A report from worldcarfans.com revealed some details of the upcoming Mercedes-Benz C350 Plug-In Hybrid. The detailed were provided by the Head of Development of the C-Class Estate, Ralf Rossmanith. Rossmanith, who confirmed the existence of the vehicle, said the sedan was currently being tested. It will feature a four-cylinder gas-electric hybrid engine. Tests have shown that its carbon dioxide emissions are less the 50 grams for every kilometer, which equivalent to an average fuel consumption of around 2 liters for every 100 kilometers.
