One 1996 Mercedes-Benz SL500 is currently up for sale. The good news about it is that it only has 75 miles in its odometer. The story gets interesting with the fact that it hasn’t been used for 21 years.

According to Road Show, this particular SL500 was given as a birthday present to its unnamed owner who resides in England. It has remained in the garage for a little more than two decades because the owner apparently lost the car keys.

Losing the car keys can definitely be a pain. However, there are a lot of remedies for it like getting a replacement. Then again, the owner didn’t appear to be bothered by that fact. The good thing about it is that the vehicle remains in good running condition.

Now, the Mercedes is up for grabs in an auction block set for this week. So far, it has only stacked up a total of 81 miles on its ticker. The source said, the convertible is estimated to fetch around $68,000 in the auction.

The 1996 Mercedes-Benz SL500 is priced somewhere between $6,200 to $8,700 when it came out. But due to its status as a virtually brand new car, its seller, Coys Spring Classics Auction, stated that their projected selling price is justifiable.

The SL500 also comes with a letter from its original owner verifying its mileage as well as an account about why it only got a very low mileage since it was bought in 1996.
