The Mercedes-AMG G63, notable for its color and its moniker “Green Monster” has been spotted again. This time its spy photos have been taken while the vehicle was undergoing a winter testing.

As we have reported late last year, this particular G-Class model was based from the Mercedes G63 AMG 6×6. Call it the 4×4 version of the six-wheel SUV if you may.

As indicated by the auto’s Green Monster name, it comes in a leafy green finish reminiscent of Marvel’s Incredible Hulk. Then, the spy shots hint of likely restyling on the camouflaged areas.

According to Mercedes-AMG CEO Tobias Moers, the vehicle is planned to be released this year. The way he said “soon” last November may mean it could be sometime in the first half of 2015.

So far, no information was provided about the engine specifications of the Mercedes-AMG G63. Various sources speculate though that it might have the same 5.5-liter biturbo V8 engine found in its 6×6 brother. Therefore, the output is estimated to be around 544 hp with 560 of torque, which would be distributed in its four-wheels through a 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission gearbox.

Furthermore, the interior, elevation and technology seen in the Mercedes G63 AMG 6×6 might be carried over to the 4×4 Green Monster.

As for the price, it should be somewhere around the €400,000 line, taking into consideration the cost of its 6×6 counterpart that is €456,900 in Germany.
