The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren is an impressive supercar featuring a hand-built super-charged V8 engine producing 617HP of power at 6,500 RPM along with 575 lb-ft of torque. Its chassis and body shell composed of durable carbon fiber composites. Its swing-wing doors swing upward and forward at a wide angle. It also features an arrow-shaped nose that was inspired by Formula 1 cars along with a twin-fin front spoiler. The four-position Airbrake of the SLR McLaren offers an enhanced braking power while maintaining stability as it brakes at high speeds. Michael Schumacher in Critical Condition Following Skiing Accident

Mercedes-Benz brand ambassador Michael Schumacher is in critical condition after the seven-time F1 champion underwent brain surgery needed as a result of an accident while skiing in Meribel, a ski resort in the Tarentaise Valley in the French Alps. The surgery was needed for Schumacher’s serious head trauma, and the official statement from the hospital says “he remains in a critical condition.” The press statement is signed by a neurosurgeon, the Grenoble University Hospital Center’s deputy director Marc Penaud, and an anesthesiologist. Even as images of the AMG styling pack for the new 2014 C-Class emerged recently, spy images of the upcoming 2015 Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG Shooting Brake have also made their way into the worldwide web, according to an autoguide.com report. The images showed a slightly-disguised prototype of the latest addition to the CLS63 AMG range of vehicles. The images also gave indications that the vehicle will undergo minor enhancements. The enhancements shown on the images appear to be limited mainly to the front fascia of the vehicle. Toto Wolff, the motorsport chief of the Mercedes Formula One team, stated that his group “overachieved” this year. That is after Team Mercedes established itself in the second place of the 2013 F1 season standings. Add to that the amazing performances of its drivers Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg this year who were able to bag the fourth and sixth positions respectively in the 2013 F1 season standings.
