Mercedes-AMG GT S Gets Race Car Upgrades from Luethen

The tuners at Leuthen recently got their hands on a Mercedes-AMG GT S. The Hamburg-based firm gave the sports car some upgrades to transform it into a race car. According to Motorward, the specialists of Leuthen only concentrated on the exterior of the AMG GT S. The updates provided in its body kit include a new carbon fiber front splitter, aero blades on the sides, rear diffuser, and a carbon fiber rear wing inspired by GT3 racing. LAPV Version of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class Spied

Can military vehicles be any cooler than this? Recent spy shots revealed that Mercedes-Benz is working on a new version of its G-Class-based Light Armored Patrol Vehicle, or the LAPV. These vehicles are especially developed for military use, so its major features would remain to be an upgraded armor protection and boosted suspension system, among other things, of course. Mercedes-Benz Removes Airscarf in Its German Cars

Mercedes-Benz will have to disable the Airscarf feature of its cars sold in Germany. According to a source, the three-pointed star marque had to do the drastic move to prevent being penalized under the law. That’s because it so happened that the technology had already been patented by another party. Based on a court ruling, Mercedes is using a technology that was patented in 1996. F1: Epic crash knocks out both Mercedes cars in lap 1 of Spanish Grand Prix

Well, that escalated quickly. Lap one of the 2016 Spanish Grand Prix saw a Mercedes on Mercedes crash, taking out the top two contenders in the season so far. This paved the way for Red Bull’s Max Verstappen to be the youngest race winner in Formula One history.  Right after the start, Hamilton was able to get ahead of Rosberg but the German managed to snag back the lead by turn 3.
