New Mercedes E-Class brochure scans have been leaked

Just about a month ago, pictures of the all new E-Class were leaked on the web. Now comes another leak, this time with even more info and pictures. Scans of a brochure reveal some very interesting tidbits that we didn’t know about in the past. Besides seeing what the different segments will look like (Classic, Elegance, Avantgarde) we also learn about the engine choices that will be available. The E-Class will come in both 4 and 6 cylinder gasoline and diesel models. Almost all models are BlueEfficiency equipped, except the E350 4Matic models and E350 BlueTEC. Mercedes-Benz Delivers 1.5 Million units of the E-Class

Mercedes-Benz has delivered 1.5 million units of the current E-Class series to customers since the model’s market launch six years ago. “The current E-Class and its predecessor models have been the ‘heart’ of Mercedes-Benz for more than 60 years now,” says Dr. Klaus Maier, Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing Mercedes-Benz Cars. “With its typical brand attributes that include safety, comfort, innovation, economy, and quality, the E-Class has delighted around 12 million customers worldwide across eight model generations.”

Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe (aka CLK) Spy shots

The guys over at WorldCarFans.com have some interesting footage of what will be the next E-Class Coupe. As you may remember, Mercedes will be changing the names for the CLK and CL, replacing them with E-Class Coupe and S-Class coupe respectively. It’s rumored that E-Class coupe will arrive to show room in spring of 2009 in show room, but we have our doubts about such a date – probably close to the end of 2009. As you’ll see below, NextAutos also captured some great images of the coupe while being tested.

You got to love the internet. Just hours after publishing recent spy shots of the new E-Class, we actually get to see the E-Class in full glory (again) via an internet leak. While the execs at Daimler might not approve, the three images below will spread like wildfire through the interweb. More proof that our E-Class shots are the real deal

Ever since we published the first official shots of the next-gen E-Class, critics were calling it everything from fake to computer generated images, well, here is some further proof, with the help of our new friends at GlobalMotors.net. They have published a series of spy shots of the new E-Class, which is nearly undisguised this time around. Top 5 most/least stolen vehicles in the U.S.

In a recent study conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, it was found that big trucks and SUVs are among the most appealing to car thieves. I guess thieves at the end of the day are just like us, they want to feel safe (while cruising down the highway and being shot at by cops).
