Interior of Facelifted Mercedes-Benz V-Class Spied

Giancarlo Perlas February 23, 2023

The Mercedes-Benz V-Class mid-size van’s production in the US is ending. However, new spy shots reveal that it is about to get a mid-cycle refresh for customers in Europe and other parts of the world.

The spy shots reveal minimal camo on the exterior of the V-Class that tells us where the updates in its design will take place for the next model year. From the looks of it, there are two variants featured in the images.

Each appears to be getting cosmetic changes on the headlamps, front bumper, taillights, and portions of the hatch. One of them has its front grille concealed but it may only be a way to disguise its identity as the electrified counterpart of the vehicle, the EQV.

Overall, there are only subtle updates on the body of the van but a peek inside shows that there’s more to it. Although the dash is mostly concealed in black fabric, the exposed areas show a one-piece digital display spanning around two-thirds of the entire board. This is similar to the hardware found on the current A-Class and B-Class.

The new layout replaces the outdated analog display and the touchscreen display sticking up on the dash. Meanwhile, the touchpad on the central console is also getting revised while the buttons look like they’re going to be remapped. Of course, there may be an enhanced version of the MBUX infotainment system in the mix.

The powertrain of the facelifted V-Class will likely feature a 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel. The unit will probably be configured to deliver between 187 and 201 hp.

The mid-cycle refresh of the Mercedes-Benz V-Class is expected to arrive in Europe later this year.
