Is This The Most Powerful Mercedes-AMG A45?
Giancarlo Perlas April 27, 2019Not even the upcoming Mercedes-AMG A45 can match what you are about to witness in the video above. It shows the AMG A45 hot hatch reaching up to 600 hp on the dyno.
At the moment, the latest generation of the A-Class is highlighted by the AMG A35 with 306 hp and 400 Nm of torque. The AMG A45 and AMG A45 S are expected to follow soon. The most potent version of the hatchback might get up to 420 hp.
The AMG A45 here though belongs to the previous generation of the A-Class. The unit has been modified by a Greek tuner to produce up to 600 hp. That’s even more than what the AMG GT 63 4-Door Coupe is capable of producing!
The performance boost was made possible by fitting the car with a huge Garrett turbo and exhaust manifold under the hood. The setup offers various stages of tunes for the AMG A45. The test of the auto under the “medium boost” level displayed 545 hp and 634 Nm of torque. Only at maximum boost can the vehicle get to more than 600 hp.
The video also puts the maximum speed of the tuned AMG A45 to the test. During an actual drive on the highway, the car was able to hit around 300 km/h. However, it was not indicated whether the test drive was under the medium or maximum boost of the vehicle. We are yet to find out the 0-100 km/h acceleration of the unit.
