Mercedes-Benz Classic startet mit zehn Fahrzeugen in Brescia: Zeitzeugen mit Stern aus 90 Jahren Mille Miglia

The 2017 Mille Miglia is happening on May 18 to 21. Mercedes-Benz will once again highlight its rich heritage over the years by showcasing ten of its classic vehicles from different eras.

Among the notable classic cars from the three-pointed star brand featured in the event are the 1928 Mercedes-Benz SSK, 1952 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL, 1954 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing, 1955 Mercedes-Benz 190 SL and 1954 Mercedes-Benz 220.

In addition to the said cars, five G-Class vehicles will be joining the Mille Miglia Challenge. Another auto that will be making its special appearance in the show is the Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet. The landaulet will represent She’s Mercedes, which is the brand’s tribute to its female customers.

Decorated legendary Mercedes drivers will also grace the event. The special participants include Rolan Asch, Ellen Lohr and Bernd Maylander. Mercedes motorsport boss Toto Wolff and Mercedes F1 Engineering Director Aldo Costa were also confirmed for the show.

The Mille Miglia this year celebrates its 90th anniversary. It originated as an endurance road race. However, it has since toned down in 1977 to feature a parade of pre-1957 cars and road rally event in 1982.

The Mille Miglia this May will involve four stages. The race will take off from Brescia, Italy then it will run up to Rome. After that, everyone takes a turn back to Brescia again.
