Mercedes-AMG just unleashed the road-legal version of its GT3 race car in the form of the GT R. On June 24, 2016 AMG chief Tobias Moers proudly unveiled their latest creation. He presented the high-performance vehicle together with the reigning Formula One World Drivers’ Champion Lewis Hamilton at the Brooklands circuit in Great Britain.

After that momentous occasion, the company released more videos of the Mercedes-AMG GT R to keep us fans and potential buyers salivating for more. In here, you will find three videos showing us the amazing performance and features of the GT R that truly makes it sit above the GT S.

First, is the video titled, “Beast of the Green Hell: The Mercedes-AMG GT R.” It shows the car being driver by Hamilton from the jungle then stopping at the racetrack. Later, it transitions to the city where at the touch of the engine start button, it goes back to the lush jungle unleashing the beast within its engine.

The second video titled, “Mercedes-AMG GT R—Racetrack Action—Trailer,” demonstrates what the car can do in the asphalt. You might want to tune up the volume to appreciate the loud engine noise coming out from the 577 hp 4.0-liter biturbo V8 power unit of the vehicle.

The last video below quickly explains the aerodynamics of the GT R. Titled as “Mercedes-AMG GT R—Aerodynamics Explained,” Dr. Gustavo Estrada, in charge of Aerodynamics Mercedes-AMG, talks about how they optimized the design of the car to enable it to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds.
