Outside, the 2016 Mercedes-Benz retains the design elements of its prior model, but inside is a different story altogether.

A new press release by Mercedes-Benz USA revealed that the 2016 GLA received some updates in its interior. According to the company, the upgrades center on the infomatic system of the compact SUV.

One of the key changes in the GLA’s interior lie in its display. The former 5.8-inch unit has been replaced with a 7-inch display. That comes with the addition of a new media interface, better quality of HD Voice for compatible devices, and a pre-wiring for the Garmin Map Pilot navigation system.

Furthermore, the brand will be offering several options for customers that will surely give them added convenience. Among the mentioned additions are the Keyless Start, Keyless-Go as a component of the Premium Package or as a standalone element, dual-zone climate control, seat cushion length adjustment, Ambient Lighting offered by the Interior Package, plus custom trims and wheels that come with the Night Package.

Performance-wise, Dynamic Select replaces the Agility Select and it now includes four driving modes namely the Comfort, Eco, Sport and Sport+.

For enhanced safety and navigation, the auto is also equipped with an improved Rear View Camera with 180-degree view.

The rest of the GLA like its exterior design has been retained. There were no traces of changes in its popular sporty-looking compact body. On the other hand, the engine options of the range are also the same starting with the Mercedes-Benz GLA 250 up to the powerful Mercedes-AMG GLA 45 4MATIC.
