The Mercedes-Benz SLK combines power, agility, and style all in one product. This coming year, it will be renamed as the SLC. Recently, Mercedes-Benz USA released a Quick Reference Guide for the existing models of the SLK range in its territory.

Cost of the Mercedes-Benz SLK

According to the company, the models available are the SLK 300, SLK 350, and the AMG SLK 55. The units are priced $47,000, $59,200, and $72,600, respectively. Then just add a $925 delivery and destination charge for each. Also, the figures do not include yet the optional add-ons.

Key Features of the Mercedes-Benz SLK

The SLK features a retractable panorama sunroof, mbrace2, 5.8-inch high display, 8-way power sports seats with 3-position memory, Neck-Pro active headrests, ECO Start/Stop, Attention Assist driver drowsiness monitoring system, heated power side mirrors with power fold-in, and staggered-width wheels and tires.

For buyers who want the most out of their SLC, they could go for the AMG body styling for the SLK 300, bi-xenon headlights with active curve lighting, Blind Spot Assist, Parktronic with parking assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Airscarf, Keyless Go, and Magic Sky Control.

Engine Options Offered by the Mercedes-Benz SLK

The range starts with the SLK 300 carrying a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four. It is capable of producing up to 241 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque distributed to the rear wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission gearbox. These enable the car to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds.

Second is the SLK 350 with 3.5-liter V6 engine. This one has an output of 302 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque fitted with 7-speed automatic gearbox distributing all the power to the rear wheels. The convertible can speed up from zero to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds.

The most powerful model is the AMG SLK 55 with a 5.5-liter V8 power unit. It has 415 hp and 398 lb-ft of torque going to the rear wheels and distributed through a 7-speed AMG Speedshift gearbox. The sprint of the sports car from zero to 100 km/h is only 4.5 seconds.

Lastly, the city, highway, combined EPA fuel efficiency of the cars in miles per gallon are 25/32/78 for the SLK 300, 21/29/24 for the SLK 350, and 19/28/22 for the AMG SLK 55.
