Which one will win if the two rivaling super cars finally meet in a 400-meter drag race?

From the very beginning, the Mercedes-AMG GT S has always been viewed and marketed as a rival to the Porsche 911 GTS. For that, there was a high expectation for the car. On the other hand, some critics of the company or hardcore fans of the super car’s competition dismissed the claim of Mercedes as merely something to build hype. They even doubted the ability of the Merc sports car to keep up with the Porsche in a race.

In the early going, the Porsche looked like it was about to leave the Mercedes behind, thanks to its lower weight plus all-wheel drive system. However, nearly halfway in the race, the auto bearing the three-pointed star logo gained enough momentum with its 650 Nm torque engine to overtake the opposition.

In the end, the Mercedes-AMG GT S finished the 400-meter drag race in 11.8 seconds. The Porsche crossed the end-marker at 12.3 seconds.

So there you have it folks, the Mercedes-AMG GT S can actually beat the Porsche 911 GTS in an actual drag race.
