2026 Mercedes-Benz C-Class EV Spied On The Road

The new electric model of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class range is already underway. New spy shots reveal some key styling elements we could expect from the electric vehicle (EV) when it makes its grand unveiling two years from now.

New spy shots of an electric C-Class electric prototype just surfaced on Carbuzz. Considering that it still generally appears to be rough around the edges and Mercedes only launched a new generation of the C-Class series in 2021, it may be long until we witness the production version of the unit here. A rough estimate would be sometime in 2026.

From what we’re looking at, the electric C-Class EV will get a new styling for the headlamps. However, there are obviously a lot of pre-production elements remaining in the car, which will likely be revised on the way to the final cut of the auto towards its production variant. Nonetheless, it’s good to see that it will stay true to the design of the conventional C-Class and depart from the distinguishable and minimalist body of EQ vehicles

Meanwhile, a shot in the cockpit of the C-Class EV shows a large screen integrated into the central part of the dashboard. There’s also a camera lens on top of the screen probably for taking selfies, video conferencing, and producing TikTok feeds.

Another major change in the car’s interior layout is the redesign and repositioning of its air conditioning vents. It ditches the three units with circular designs in favor of dual openings with thinner rectangular shapes.

There were earlier reports that Mercedes may eventually streamline its models to prioritize its core series. With that, they will likely absorb the EQ models. If this is the case, the EQC Sedan we have been waiting for may very well be released under the C-Class EV branding.
