Rare 1980s and 1990s Mercedes-Benz Car Stash Uncovered

Giancarlo Perlas March 11, 2023

The Late Brake Show on YouTube recently gave car enthusiasts a treat featuring an impressive Mercedes-Benz stash belonging to a collector who specializes in high-performance vehicles from the 1980s and 1990s. The collection belongs to a guy simply referred to as “Neville” from Surrey.

The collection includes a 1995 Mercedes-Benz W124 320TE wagon, which the owner is modifying in honor of Auto Fashion Factory, a Japanese tuner with a specialization in working with 1990s Mercedes-Benz cars. This is still a work in progress as Neville is still gathering all the needed period-specific parts for it.

Another remarkable car in the collection is a Mercedes-Benz 190E Cosworth. This one is highlighted by its aftermarket turbo upgrade, made even cooler with its period-correct houndstooth Recaro seats. The owner plans to modify it further with a 190E Evo body kit.

The owner has multiple sheds consisting of vehicles, Brabus tuning parts and accessories, suspension upgrades, AMG components, and Lorinser wheels. All these 80s to 90s parts are already rare these days. Meanwhile, the other noteworthy cars include a pair of Brabus 190E sedans, one more 500 SEL with a turbocharger, and a W124 E-Class Coupe.

Basically, each car in the collection has an interesting backstory waiting to be told. Among them are the maroon Mercedes 500 SEL AMG that the owner only visits occasionally and another 500 SEL coming from the Saudi Arabian embassy that was once owned by a prince.

One non-Mercedes car that truly stands out in the bunch is the rare 1972 Ford Zodiac MKIV Executive. The auto bearing a striking resemblance to a four-door Mercury Cyclone with a pair of Cougar taillights is equipped with a 5.9-liter V8.

This Mercedes-Benz car stash is a stunning collection of high-performance vehicles from the bygone 80s to 90s era, modified by respected tuners. The owner has a clear vision for each car in the collection, which involve modifying them while staying true to their respective times in history. This stash is a must-see for car enthusiasts who appreciate exceptional collector items.
