Spy Shots Capture the Mercedes-AMG GLC43 in a Parking Lot

The Mercedes-Benz Group is definitely not missing a beat in capitalizing on the success of the GLC as its best-selling vehicle. Only a few weeks after the unveiling of the SUVs 2023 model, spy shots of the new GLC Coupe, and this time, a Mercedes-AMG GLC43 are already circulating online.

The spy photos show the AMG GLC in full camouflage. By now, however, we already have an idea of what its Benz version looks like, so we expect the high-performance variant to carry most of its design cues. That includes the smoother and cleaner exterior surfaces as well as the equipment that the full-size GLC has inside and out.

As an AMG though, expect the Panamericana styling with vertical slats on the front grille, wider air intakes on the sides of the front bumpers, and sports wheels and tires. Since this one is merely the bridge between the standard and the most potent variant of the range, it features four, rounded, tubular tailpipes for its exhaust system. Meanwhile, the interior is bound to get AMG-specific elements like upholstery clad in Nappa leather, sports pedals, special floor mats, and others.

The AMG GLC 43 will likely get the same 2.0-liter turbo inline-four engine partnered with a mild-hybrid system found in its C-Class counterpart, the AMG C43. The unit is good for 402 hp and a temporary boost of 13 hp during acceleration or high loads.

The Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV just made its debut this month, so the Mercedes-AMG GLC43 will most probably come either by the end of 2022 or the start of 2023.
