FleetBoard System Reduces Fleet Costs Significantly

As if the new Actros trucks did not possess enough features to make them among the most technically advanced commercial trucks to date, Mercedes has announced that all new sales of the Actros in Europe will be fitted with the Fleetboard vehicle management system. FleetBoard EcoSupport provides drivers with analytical tools which give feedback on the driver’s driving style in real time, and provides direct feedback. The EcoSupport system gathers inputs based on criteria for economical driving, such as steady-state speed, pedal movements, use of wear-free brakes, roll behaviour and similar vehicle parameters. Mercedes ACTROS Put on a 10,000KM Test

Mercedes-Benz’ truck, ACTROS, after it has been announced last week that it will be especially for long distance haul, has now been tested for a 10,000KM drive. Now, the official efficiency numbers of the EURO VI engine has been revealed. First off, the EURO V version runs more efficiently at 7.6% less diesel in the 10,000KM test than the current Actros 1844 BlueTec 5. Mercedes Actros Trucks Launching In The Second Half Of 2012

It’s black, it’s white, it’s an Actros

Just because you’re doing serious business doesn’t mean your trucks don’t have to look good. And that is why Mercedes-Benz Trucks has just launched its special edition model of the Actros, named the Black LIner and the White Liner. Quite a contrast, don’t you think? There aren’t really any technical enhancement done from the basic Actros, only that these two have been specially painted and have been sprinkled a few tidbits of luxury on a few places. Active Brake Assist Version 2.0 for the Actros

The great thing about Mercedes-Benz is that it doesn’t focus solely on its passenger cars. It makes sure its entire product line sets the standard for technology, performance and safety. Mercedes-Benz Actros to be produced in Brazil from 2011

Beginning next year, Mercedes-Benz Trucks will expand its production network to include the Juiz de Fora plant in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, where it will manufacture heavy-duty Mercedes-Benz Actros trucks for the Latin American market. As a result, Mercedes-Benz Trucks’ flagship vehicle will be produced in the plants at Wörth in Germany and Aksaray in Turkey, as well as in Brazil. The move will enable Mercedes-Benz do Brasil to respond more quickly and flexibly to the growing demand for trucks in Latin America.
