Top 3 Features of the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet

Giancarlo Perlas August 24, 2017

After a teaser video, the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet finally made it at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The concept car is a variant of the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 series that came out last year.

Here are the top 3 things we learned about it:

1. Power Unit

According to Daimler, the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet is propelled by an electric motor. The electric car has an output of 550 kW or 750 hp. The unit also allows the concept electric vehicle to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in under four seconds. On the other hand, its top speed is electronically-locked at 250 km.

The battery of the concept car connected under its base has a 500-kilometer range based on EPA. The quick DC charging of the EV that follows the CCS standard lets it stock up to 350 kW in capacity. A mere five-minute charge is enough to add 100 km to its driving range.

2. Exterior

The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet is a follow-up to its coupe version released last year in the same event. Almost everything except the roofing and the exterior finish of the auto was followed. Compared to the red one that was revealed previously, the cabriolet is now in a navy blue finish.

The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet measures around six meters long with proportions like the earlier coupe variant last year—again save for the roofing. The convertible boasts a luxurious white fabric roofing with rose gold stitches.

3. Interior

Going inside shows the same opulent detailing we have seen last year in the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 coupe. It is adorned with crystal white nappa leather, wide digital display running across the dashboard, and illuminated bluish buttons.
