Next-Gen Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV Spied on the Road

After teasing us with spy shots for already a year, the Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV recently made another appearance on the road. Normally, Mercedes prototypes gradually shed their camouflage as they approach their launching, but this one is still completely wrapped in it. That means its official unveiling is still a long way ahead. Since we are talking about a next-generation model, expect a major overhaul in the exterior and interior of the new GLC. However, the covers make it hard for us to discern what the SUV really has in store for us, so we will just have to rely on the portions peeking from the camo and the bulges… Continue Reading »

AZUTO Premium Accessories are Specially Made for the G-Class

One of our common problems when driving alone and doing a fast-food run is where to fasten those thin plastic cups holding our drinks to avoid ruining our car’s expensive leather with coffee or whatever is inside them during bumps in the road. Another is where to put our loose change so the coins won’t be flying all over the place when we hit a pothole. Luckily some of these first-world problems only require practical solutions. Sure, the G-Class has some cup holders already and several compartments in its interior for storage. However, there comes a time when we just find ourselves wanting more. That’s where the AZUTO Premium Accessories… Continue Reading »

Daimler and Nokia End Their Legal Spat Thru Settlement

Daimler AG and Nokia Oyj finally settled their legal dispute over the use of wireless technology patents in cars. The war between the two came to a point that it threatened the sales of Mercedes-Benz cars in Germany. The court battle originated in the use of Nokia technologies in Mercedes cars. The disagreement began last year when the Finnish company demanded the German carmaker to pay a lump sum for the patents used in its luxury vehicles. The latter refused but wanted its suppliers to pay the tech company for the use of its intellectual property instead, which used to be the practice of automakers in the past. It would… Continue Reading »

The RG-33 Based on the Unimog is the Most Survivable MRAP Vehicle in the World

Earlier, we featured a Mercedes-Benz Unimog stash somewhere in Colorado, which is just another testament that a lot of custom configurations can be made from the truck. So from the expedition and race builds, we now go to one of its most versatile builds, the RG-33 Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle that came into service in 2007 for the US Military. The RG-33 was designed by the BAE System and produced in the U.S. The unit was based on the RG-31 used by the South African National Defense Forces, which also utilized the Unimog platform and powered by a 123 hp Daimler-Benz OM 352A diesel engine. Unlike its predecessor… Continue Reading »

The Mercedes-AMG SL is one of the much-awaited cars this year. Spy shots of the convertible confirm that its development is already in full swing and nearing completion. What makes the upcoming SL more exciting than its predecessor is that AMG is now in full control of its development. That means a more elegant and sportier car with a major performance boost up ahead. Rumors say that the auto will feature an all-wheel-drive system either as a standard or optional configuration. Then it will carry the high-performance brand’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 partnered with an electric motor to deliver a mild-hybrid output of over 800 hp. While most are probably more… Continue Reading »
