Like the innovator as it is, Mercedes-Benz is not one to back away from emerging technologies. Recently, the three-pointed star marque announced its adoption of OpenAI’s ChatGPT for the use of its employees.

The world-renowned automaker aims to streamline its everyday workload and boost efficiency with the help of artificial intelligence (AI). The said quest is embarked on through the launch of Mercedes-Benz Direct Chat, a web app designed for internal usage.

Powered by OpenAI’s highly intelligent algorithm, ChatGPT via Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service, this tool can efficiently compose emails or reports. It can even be tasked to summarize lengthy texts and converse in both English and German languages.

Mercedes Benz believes that injecting such advanced technology into employees’ daily workflow will yield better customer solutions over time.
