Mercedes-AMG GTR Pro Pricing Starts at $199,650
Giancarlo Perlas July 16, 2019The pricing of the limited series Mercedes-AMG GTR Pro has been revealed. The newest addition to the Mercedes-AMG GT range starts at $199,650. The car is only limited to 750 examples worldwide, and its deliveries will start in the late part of 2019.
The AMG GTR Pro is inspired by the Mercedes-AMG GT3 and Mercedes-AMG GT4 race cars. It features driving dynamics intended to enhance its performance on the road and racetracks.
Engine
The AMG GTR Pro is equipped with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. The unit produces 577 hp and 516 b-ft of torque. All that power goes to a rear-wheel-drive system and distributed via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The configuration takes the car from 0-60 mph in just 3.5 seconds while its top speed is electronically-limited to 198 mph. The vehicle also allowed AMG GT3 race car driver Maro Engel to conquer a circuit of the Nurburgring North Loop in a mere 7 minutes and 4.632 seconds.
Tech
The AMG GTR Pro is fitted with the AMG Ride Control coil-over suspension that offers manual adjustment for damping. It lets the driver determine the spring rate, rebound, and compression of the auto via the adjustment wheels on the dampers.
The other tech elements found in the standard AMG GT are merely carried over to the AMG GTR pro like the performance steering wheel, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 10.25-inch multimedia display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, among others.
Appearance
Apart from the signature styling of AMG GT such as its Panamericana front grille, the AMG GTR Pro is highlighted by its large carbon fiber front splitter with aluminum reinforcements, carbon-fiber flics on the front bumper, air intakes in the fenders and rear wing.
