Mercedes-Benz Unimog Gets Stamp of Approval From DLG

The Mercedes-Benz Unimog once again received a certification proving its effectiveness and efficiency as a transport vehicle. According to Daimler, the U 530 model of the truck recently received the stamp of approval of DLG (German Agricultural Association). The source said the agricultural version of the Unimog U 530 underwent the 2016 PowerMix test conducted by DLG where it passed with flying colors. As a result, the truck now carries the “DLG-approved 2016” seal similar to the one pictured below. The testing number of the Unimog was DLG is 2015-00697. Mercedes-Benz Vans Puts a New Plant in South Carolina

Mercedes-Benz Vans just had a groundbreaking ceremony for its Sprinter plant in North Charleston, South Carolina on July 27, 2016. The event was attended by distinguished guests. The move is in line with the effort of the company to keep their good momentum going in the North American market. It should be noted that Mercedes delivered about 28,600 Sprinter units in the United States of America in 2015. According to Daimler, the company invested approximately 500 million US dollars for the new plant. The facility is expected to create around 1,300 jobs. Mercedes-Benz to get cool new €1B plant in Kecskemét, Hungary

Daimler is set to invest a whopping €1 billion ($1.1 billion) to build a new Mercedes-Benz plant in Kecskemét, Hungary. The planned facility is expected to generate some 2,500 jobs in the area. Of course, that’s when the plant starts producing vehicles, which is estimated for sometime around the end of this decade. Initial preps for the facility will start sometime within the current year. This will be the second Mercedes-Benz plant in Kecskemét. The company has already announced a new round of investment in order to expand as well as upgrade the existing facility. 2018 Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster Rendered

A new version of the Mercedes-AMG GT just surfaced online. Following the successful launching of the Mercedes-AMG GT R, a camouflaged variant of the GT was spotted again. The spy photos, show the car with a soft top, which suggests that a roadster model of it is in the works. According to reports, it will probably come out next year with a 2018 model year.
