The smart division is gearing itself or the arrival of the fortwo cabriolet in showrooms on March 10 this year. To hype the upcoming mini-convertible, the company launched its “Open for anything!” creative theme. In addition, smart also offers the “Virtual Test Experience” for fans and potential buyers.

According to the Global Media Site of Daimler, the virtual test drive allows the person occupying the smart fortwo cabrio a way to experience the benefits of summer, sunshine, and the exuberant enjoyment of life in a realistic way. A pair of virtual glasses are given to the driver to experience the mentioned scenarios.

A 360-view is given to the driver by the glasses. From there, the driver can experience what is it like to travel within the cabin of the fortwo cabrio while going across the different mentioned scenarios.

Based on the report, the virtual campaign started on February 18 at the Leipziger Platz in the LP12 Mall of Berlin. It will continue until the end of March this year. Selected smart dealers will hold the events. Major European cities like Berlin, Brussels, London and Zurich will host a three-day event dedicated to the campaign too.

Complementing the virtual testing events are viral films released by smart in connection with the campaign’s theme. The plot of the short videos revolve on couples, parents, and friends who eventually show openness to each other in order to improve their relationships, much like the open top features of the fortwo cabrio that aims to make every riding experience of its occupants better.
