Brabus Tunes the Mercedes-Benz GLB Compact SUV

The Mercedes-Benz GLB may be in the compact sport utility vehicle classification of its maker but it is the biggest so far to use the MFA platform. One of its features that stands out is its optional third-row seats. Seeing more room for improvement, Brabus just released a new tuning package for the crossover to enhance its looks and give it a power boost. Engine The famous Mercedes tuner only has performance upgrades for the GLB 250 trim right now. With some tinkering in its ECU using the Brabus PowerXtra kit, the company can squeeze out 46 more horsepower and 59 lb-ft more torque from the 2.0-liter inline-four engine of… Continue Reading »

New Spy Shots of 2020 Mercedes-AMG GLB45 Come Out

After the unveiling of the Mercedes-Benz GLB compact crossover SUV a month ago, its high-performance version appears to be on its way. Recently, spy shots of the Mercedes-AMG GLB45 surfaced online. The spy photos from Motor1 show the AMG GLB45 in partial camouflage. As the norm, the covered areas indicate the changes between the standard GLB model and the AMG model. With that, expect a sportier front bumper with lip spoiler, side sills, wider fenders, rear diffuser and rear spoiler in the high-performance version of the SUV. The exhausts of the prototype are exposed, and we can see that Mercedes went for the tubular tailpipes instead of the trapezoidal-shaped ones… Continue Reading »

New Mercedes-Benz GLA Spy Shots Surface

After unveiling the all-new GLB compact sport utility vehicle, Mercedes-Benz is keeping its momentum in the crossover segment with the GLA. Recently, the Mercedes-Benz GLA was spotted by spy photographers while it was making its rounds in Stuttgart, Germany. There have been sightings of the GLA previously but the photos that were released online were grainy. However, thanks to AutoBlog, we now have clearer spy shots of the vehicle. The subject is heavily-wrapped in a zebra camouflage. The bulges and parts that are peeking from the covers give us a good idea of what to expect from it though. First, we can see that the logo in the radiator grille… Continue Reading »

Anytime we hear about a luxury crossover with an entry-level price, we get goosebumps. We’ve heard rumors about a G-class-inspired Mercedes-Benz crossover that will be placed somewhere between the GLA and the GLC. It looks like it will finally be launched this April 2019 at the Shanghai Auto Show. The GLB, as it is now called, will first arrive as a prototype. For now, the automaker is keeping the details under wraps (though we heard it could have an electric powertrain and be called the EQB), but Mercedes did give us a sketch of how the interior will look like. A funky dashboard—that’s what the new Mercedes-Benz GLB or EQB… Continue Reading »

2020 Mercedes-Benz EQC To Get More Distinctive Designs

When the 2020 Mercedes-Benz EQC all-electric crossover was revealed earlier this week, there was a collective sigh of disappointment largely due to the fact that the design was rather bland. There was no distinctive feature on the crossover and it lacks the aggressive styling that we come to expect from the Generation EQ concept. However, it looks like this was a deliberate attempt for the German luxury carmaker to make the first all-electric crossover under its EQ brand to lack the radical features of the concept version. EQ sales and marketing chief Jorg Heinemann told Autocar that for now, Mercedes is simply concerned with establishing a “starting point” for the… Continue Reading »
