Mercedes-Benz GLE 400 SUV Gets an AMG Treatment from BS Teile

The Mercedes-Benz GLE 400 is just a few steps away from the old Mercedes-AMG 43, yet, it doesn’t enjoy much attention as the cars of the three-pointed star brand. Recently, BS Teile unveiled its latest project for the SUV that turns it into a proper AMG. The new tuning package of BS Teile is highlighted by the 100 hp boost that it provides to the GLE. The Stage One upgrade of the specialist turns the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine of the SUV from 329 hp to 420 hp. Mercedes-AMG GLE Edition 55 SUV and Coupe Variants Headed to the U.S.

In line with the 55th anniversary of AMG, the high-performance division of the three-pointed star marque once again unveiled a limited-edition model for the Mercedes-AMG GLE SUV and Coupe. Aptly named the Mercedes-AMG GLE Edition 55, this version is available in six trims in the European market. Four of which will be offered in the U.S. with slightly tweaked outputs. According to MBUSA, the Edition 55 models will be offered in its dealerships later this year. It’s only been three years since the current-generation Mercedes-Benz GLE SUV was launched. However, its maker is already looking to give it a mid-cycle refresh. More than a week ago, we spied a partially camouflaged prototype of the auto, and now, another sighting was made while it was undergoing testing on a public road. New Spy Shots Hint a New Facelift in the Mercedes-Benz GLE SUV

The new Mercedes-Benz GLE SUV was only rolled out last year but new spy shots suggest that it is already undergoing a facelift for the 2022 model series. The prototype was recently seen on European roads with minor camouflage, which gives us an idea of where the changes will take place. The exposed exterior of the SUV clearly gives it away as the full-sized GLE. So, all that’s left for us to guess are its covered areas.
