RENNtech Produces the World’s Most Powerful Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series

RENNtech just unveiled the world’s most powerful Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series, or so it claims. The sports car’s output has been tuned to beat the likes of the Mercedes-AMG One and Bugatti Veyron’s power. The AMG GT Black Series shown here has 1,051 hp and 1,127 lb-ft of torque. It benefits from RENNtech’s R3 bundle consisting of an ECU tune with upgraded turbochargers, stainless steel downpipes, blow-off valves, and other mods. The power boost reduces the 0-62 mph run of the car by a couple of tenths of a second while topping at 219 mph. In comparison, the stock configuration of the AMG GT Black Series is already mind-blowing. The… Continue Reading »

One-Off Mansory Gronos Mercedes-Benz G65 AMG 6X6 for Sale

The Mercedes-Benz G65 AMG 6×6 is a pretty rare specimen, so it is such a treat seeing it every now and then. Making the vehicle special is when tuners have hit the sweet spot in customizing it like this particular unit being sold at the Dutch dealership of Auto Leitner for almost a million dollars. The G-Class 6×6 had a limited run for two years starting in 2013. Back then, it fetched half a million dollars. Due to its limited production which only went in excess of 100 vehicles, it developed a cult-like following with auto enthusiasts and collectors. Opus Mercedes-AMG GT R Can Conquer the ‘Ring 10 Seconds Quicker than the Regular Version

First off, there is nothing regular about the Mercedes-AMG GT R because it is just topnotch, that why it’s one of the most coveted cars of auto enthusiasts. However, just to differentiate the tuned version from the fresh-from-the-factory unit, we have taken the liberty to refer to the latter as such for emphasis. With that out of the way, here is another gem from the aftermarket tuner with headquarters near the famous Nurburgring track. Opus, formerly known as Renntech Europe, teased a 1,111 hp Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series last year. To date, we have no updates from the company’s official website about its completion after its promised June 2021 launch…. Continue Reading »

Mercedes-AMG G-Class Gets the Best of Brabus and Fostla

Brabus undoubtedly comes up with the best Mercedes-Benz tuning package overall, unlike some who are on a hit-and-miss basis. The company’s consistency has paid off when it inked a contractual partnership with the three-pointed star marque. Fostla has also established itself in the scene as a provider of cost-effective body kits for the luxury brand. Put the products of the two in a Mercedes-AMG G-Class, and you are definitely in for a treat. Recently, the two powerhouses unveiled their latest creation for the Mercedes-AMG G63. It starts with the Brabus 800, which includes a Widestar body kit combined with Fostla’s signature accessories featuring carbon fiber materials for the front grille,… Continue Reading »

Mercedes-Benz V-Class Gets a BMW Grille From Mansory

Giving a Mercedes-Benz car or SUV a BMW grille could be seen as a travesty, but we can probably let the new Mercedes-Benz V-Class modified by Mansory slide for now. Whether we want to admit it or not, the V-Class van leaves a lot to be desired for an auto that bears the three-pointed star logo. That’s until it is customized as an RV or special vehicle. For this one, Mansory took a risk putting a large grille with vertical slats on the van that appears to be inspired by the latest front design of its rival. We do not know for sure if it was originally intended to replicate… Continue Reading »

Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster Gets Unhinged with New Tuning Parts

The Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster is a nice choice for people who are looking for a more refined grand tourer in the GT line of the three-pointed star brand’s performance division. Those who are looking for a more performance-focused model of the range can go for the Mercedes-AMG GT R, Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro, or the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series. That’s a tough choice though if you want a sexy top-down variant of the series but you are not contented with the standard 550 hp of the AMG GT C. Luckily, there are tuners like AutoDynamics who can add more oomph to those who want more out of the AMG… Continue Reading »

Mitsubishi Galant AMG: Japanese by Birth, German by Heart

AMG is for Mercedes-Benz as Ralliart is for Mitsubishi. Right now, it’s hard to picture AMG engines going to cars outside the three-pointed star marque. However, once upon a time, there was such a thing as the Mitsubishi Galant AMG. Although AMG was already linked to Mercedes cars since 1971, it was only in 1993 when the two forged an exclusive contract. It wasn’t until 1999 when the performance studio would be absorbed by Mercedes. So prior to ’93, anybody with cash to burn can just bring their cars to the company for a hot power boost. The Galant was actually the second Mitsubishi car that AMG worked on. The… Continue Reading »
