The upcoming Belgian Grand Prix marks the self-imposed deadline for Mercedes AMG Petronas to confirm its new drivers’ lineup. With Lewis Hamilton’s current standing in the sport and his present contract locked at least until 2023, he is secured in his position. The same cannot be said for Valtteri Bottas whose contract expires at the end of this season. According to ESPN, there’s a growing sentiment in the paddock that George Russell will be Hamilton’s partner next year. The support for the 23-year old driver came amid the strong showing he… Continue Reading »

Lewis Hamilton Drives Off in his Pagani Zonda 760 LH

Outside of Formula 1, Hamilton is known for his love of exotic cars. For one, he is already eyeing the upcoming Mercedes-AMG One, but his collection already includes a Ferrari LaFerrari, classic Shelby 427 Cobra, McLaren P1, Mercedes-Benz SLS Black Series, Mercedes-AMG GTR, and the Pagani Zonda 760 LH seen here. Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One finished the Azerbaijan Grand Prix with a one-two victory following the win of Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton trailing behind in the second place. It looks like Bottas is having a good start this year as he managed to cap two wins in the first four races of the 2019 season. In terms of number of wins, he is tied with his teammate, Hamilton, who bagged the Drivers’ Championship last year. Mercedes F1 Hat-trick Nostalgia

Winners of the constructors title for the fifth season running, there seems to be no stopping Mercedes F1 on track. Lewis Hamilton is now a racer who can be backed years in advance to win the title, and perhaps the only regret of Silver Arrows fans is that the team spent such a long hiatus out of the game. Between 1956 and 2009, the name of Mercedes was absent from the list of Formula 1. Yet, there were some fantastic talents on board in the mid-1950s, with Juan Manuel Fangio and Stirling Moss being prominent names in that regard. They form the first part of this nostalgic list of famous… Continue Reading »

Mercedes F1 just received both the Constructors’ and Drivers’ Championships at an award show held at the Grand Hall of the Saint Petersburg Philharmonia in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Lewis Hamilton and Wolff received the trophies handed over by F1’s governing body, the FIA. The Mercedes F1 head admitted that 2018 was a tough season for them. Lewis Hamilton: The Second Most Successful Driver in F1

Lewis Hamilton finally took his spot as one of the Formula 1 greats when he grabbed his fifth World Drivers’ Championship (WDC) at the 2018 Mexican Grand Prix last Sunday. He is now tied with Juan Manuel Fangio in the record books in terms of having the most championships in the sport. The 2018 F1 season saw a rocky start for Mercedes as Ferrari started strong with Sebastian Vettel winning the first two races. The German went on to challenge the supremacy of Hamilton on several occasions, and he even led the F1 Drivers’ Standings at some points of the season. However, the resiliency and consistency of Hamilton in scoring… Continue Reading »
