One impressive Mercedes G55 AMG was recently spotted in China. This particular G-Class featured major modifications in its body plus engine upgrades, and it was rechristened as the Brabus G-K8. According to CarNewsChina, the Brabus G-K8 was introduced at the FB-Show 2015 held in Beijing. The most noticeable aspect of the SUV was its extra two-meter overall length as its middle was stretched to transform it into a limousine. The tuner of the Mercedes G55 AMG completely removed the standard middle doors of the vehicle to make room for suicide doors. Even though the Top Gear TV show went off the air recently, it is still considered among the best motoring magazines in the world. This distinction gave the magazine the opportunity to secure a one-on-one off-road test that set the Mercedes-Benz G500 4×4 against the Hennessey Velociraptor, as shown on a report from motoroward.com. Mercedes-Benz just updated the G-Class lineup, giving it subtle revisions in its styling. One of its models, the G500, was also revealed to get the engine from the Mercedes-AMG GT. Even the G63 has been confirmed to get an extra horsepower from its V8 power unit. Now, if the updates are not enough for you, check out the body kit offered by Prindiville Design. The new package of the aftermarket firm is called the “Indomitable G”. The luxury SUV is the first plug-in hybrid in this vehicle range of the luxury vehicle manufacturer from Germany. Aside from its standard internal combustion engine, the GLE 500e Plug-In Hybrid also features an electric motor. The electric motor increases the power output of the SUV by 114HP giving it a total power output of 436 HP. The three-pointed star marque just confirmed that its mid-range Mercedes-Benz G-Class, the G 500, will be getting an engine update starting next year. According to Digital Trends, the mid-range model from longest-running SUV series of the brand will be ditching its 5.5-liter biturbo V8 engine in favor of the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 power unit found within the Mercedes-AMG GT. As a result, from the 382 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class, its output will be upgraded to an estimated minimum of 416 hp.
