Smart ForTwo Cabriolet Unveiled Through Photos

The Smart ForTwo may not be within the level of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class or other models of the brand for that matter, but it seems to be joining the cabrio craze this month. This September, the compact car division of Daimler will be unveiling its Smart ForTwo Cabriolet. The top-down smart car will make its debut alongside the more grand, heavily-hyped Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet. Then its sale will commence in February next year. Check Out This Awesome Parade of Smart Cars

A huge gathering of smart car owners was recently conducted at Hungaroring in an event called Smarttimes 2015. The autos were displayed and even paraded all over the Formula One race track. We are not sure how many participated in the event, but it was definitely a lot looking at the pictures taken by MB Passion. Mercedes-Benz passes million-car sales mark in July

Here’s one more indicator of just how much success Mercedes-Benz is enjoying in 2015: in July, the German automaker has just passed the 1-million mark for cars sold so far this year. To be more specific, Mercedes-Benz has sold 1,048,178 vehicles as of the end of July 2015. That number plus smart car sales adds up to 1,119,629 units. “Never before have we delivered so many cars to customers in the first seven months of a year,” stated Mercedes-Benz Cars marketing and sales chief Ola Källenius. NYPD Replaces Scooters with the Smart ForTwo Cars

Last month it was revealed that the New York City Police Department has been testing the Smart ForTwo. According to Business Insider, NYPD is planning to include the compact vehicle into its fleet in order to replace its aging three-wheel Cushman scooter units. The report said the Department decided to shift to the Smart car because of the comfort it can bring to its occupant. Compared to the scooter, the car will offer heating, air conditioning and one more seating capacity. Mercedes-Benz and Smart Start the Year with High Sales

Daimler AG, through its Mercedes-Benz and Smart brands, started 2015 on a high note. The group displayed impressive sales this January compared to the same month of the previous year. According to a Wall Street Journal report, the two brands showed a double-digit increase in January sales on a year-on-year comparison. The sales of the Mercedes-Benz marque grew by 15 percent compared to its performance in the same month of last year. Videos Show the Resiliency of the Smart Fortwo

One of the key selling points of the Smart Fortwo is its ultra-durable tridion safety cell. Basically, the feature has been patented by Daimler’s Smart division to offer maximum protection to the electric vehicle’s occupants, which comes in addition to the safety functions provided by the car’s seatbelts and airbags. According to the Smart website, the tridion safety cell is inspired by roll cages found in racecars. It is made of high-strength steel, which is engineered to evenly distribute the force from a crash. Revealing the Official Photos of the New Smart Fortwo and Forfour

The 2016 Smart Fortwo and Forfour finally make their official public appearance. The two electric vehicles appeared to have significant improvements in terms of design with a more stylish hood and new LED headlights.
