Shanghai Debut For GLA Concept Of Mercedes

The plan of Mercedes-Benz in unveiling the GLA concept during the Shanghai Auto Show was confirmed recently by the CEO of Daimler, Dieter Zetsche. Zetsche made the confirmation during a press conference that was held in Germany recently. The executive indicated that the production model of the luxury vehicle will be launched in September during the Frankfurt Auto Show. No specific details were revealed by the Daimler boss at the press conference. However, spy images that emerged earlier showed that the upcoming vehicle will have a similar design as the Mercedes-Benz A-Class. Misha Design Unveils a New Showstopper

Misha Design is a known company that specializes in providing body kit enhancements for Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and BMW. The company, together with the Arizona-based Couture Customs, recently came up with awesome custom modifications for the Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG. The flashy body kit package provided through the joint effort of the two companies offer enhancements in the bumpers, fenders, hood, side skirts, trunk and roof spoilers. The world speed record for a car on a public road was set by the Mercedes-Benz W125 on the 28th of January 1938 when it reached 268.8 mph or 432.7 km/h. The record set by aerodynamic W125 remains unbroken even up to this date. Although the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport reached a top speed of 269.6 mph or 434 km/h, the feat was achieved at the Ehra-Lessien track of the Volkwagen Group, which is located close to Wolfsburg, Germany. Latest Mercedes-Benz Warning System Set to Counter Ghost Drivers

A new warning system was introduced by Mercedes-Benz recently that is meant to reduce instances where drivers go the wrong way. This is part of the effort of the luxury car manufacturer to counter “Ghost Drivers” or Geisterfahrers. The new system is meant to stop people from inadvertently driving in the wrong lane. It features a camera mounted on the windscreen of the vehicle that will look out for no-entry signs. Three loud sounds are made by the system whenever the vehicle is set to pass a no entry sign.
