CLS Shooting Brake Is Launched In Australia

Long seen online but now finally available in the flesh, well-heeled Australians finally have a chance to bring home the CLS shooting brake. Recently launched down under, the CLS shooting brake will be available in both gas and diesel versions. As a CLS350, the slope-backed shooting brake will have for its engine a 3.5 liter V6 belting out 225 kW, or 301 horsepower to you Imperials. Just as interesting, and definitely more frugal, is the CLS250 CDI. This turbocharged four has an output of 150 kW and almost 370 lb ft. of torque. Tuner CK63 RS Coaxes 640 Hp From Twin Turbo V8

Slowing its rise only when it reaches 260 kilometers per hour, this Carlsson-tuned CLS 63 AMG shows the potential of Mercedes’ a tuned twin turbo V8. Known as the type M157, this engine is a refinement by AMG of what  was originally the M278 engine developed for the S-Class. After extensive modification by AMG, this engine got the M157 designation. CLS Shooting Brake Scale Models Hit the Market

With the Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake recently being available for prospective buyers to purchase at dealerships, the manufacturer is also set to make the car available to miniature model collectors. Brabus Presents Its CLS Shooting Brake

The CLS Shooting Brake has only been recently released and already, premium Mercedes tuner Brabus has released its version.  In its most powerful version, Brabus has seen to upgrade the 5.5 liter’s output to almost 620 horsepower with a corresponding bump in torque to 737 foot-pounds. This was primarily done with a revised ECU and charge air cooler. Consequently, maximum velocity in this speed-delimited car is 320 km/hr or almost 200 miles per hour.  To complement this performance, Brabus has partnered with Bilstein in developing a suspension kit that offers revised rates to take advantage of the higher engine output.
