A pretty cool and mysterious commercial about the A-Class. The commercial could be used for any product out there and it would make sense, but here it works pretty well.
Mercedes has finally revealed the pricing for the all new C-Class. The price has really surprised everyone, as the based model costs less than the outgoing model by more than $2000.
The price starts at $31,975 for the new C300 Sport Sedan (228 hp, 221 lb-ft. of torque). For the C300 Luxury Sedan (228 hp, 221 lb-ft. of torque) it will be $33,675, and lastly the C350 Sport Sedan (268 hp, 258 lb-ft. of torque) will cost $37,275.
A bargain if you ask me, at least for the base model.
I’ve never asked much from the BenzInsider readers, nor will I in the future, but right now I would like to know your opinion on a subject that has interested me for a long time. I understand that there a dozens of Mercedes forums, with a couple really good one out there, but what would you say if BenzInsider had its own forum where you could discuss the lates Mercedes rumors, share stories and help each with anything Mercedes. Please let me know by voting below.
You’ve probably heard about the news that Mercedes wanted to market the new C-Class in Second Life, when I posted about it. Now here is a video of what it looks like inside the SL world and how Mercedes is trying to promote and sell their virtual cars to the citizens there. While I can understand why people would spend time living in a virtual world, I just can’t understand that they would spend real money to to furnish their homes or buy cars. Either way, a good move by Mercedes to advertise their cars to the people who have escaped the real world. You’ve got to catch them, anywhere they go. This this has gotten so popular that even Bosch, yes Bosch, wants to jump on the band wagon. Silly isn’t it.
This is another great review about the all new Mercedes C-Class, and just like any all the other reviews, they say positive things about it. I don’t think I can ever get tired of watching new video reviews of the C-Class. I see the new C-class here in Germany on a daily basis, well it helps when the car is actually parked in the company lobby, how great is that. I need to remember to my camera with me to work these days and snap some up close pix and post them here. I just keep forgetting.

While I get email on a daily basis from readers, asking me all kinds of questions about Mercedes, this was certainly an email that made me smile. Corin designed this great print ad, that could certainly be mistaken for a real Mercedes ad, for us. The design itself is just beautiful and the idea is just fantastic. The way I would interpret the ad is that when you drive a Mercedes, you are “guaranteed” to have a great time with all the girls you’ll meet. It is great to see some original ideas. Keep them coming Corin and anyone else who’d like to join.
Here some cool footage showing the ML63 AMG against an Audi RS4 Avant in a rolling start race. Accelerating from 50km to 250km is no problem for both of the vehicles, but the ML does it just better and faster. Now I am not sure if this is a fair race, as one is a car and the other an SUV, but honestly, we don’t care. The sound is just amazing that the ML produces; it growls just like a lion.
A very interesting and somehow funny video is making its way around the internet. It’s about a couple of guys who have stocked the test driver of the upcoming Mercedes C63 AMG and took some cool footage. An interesting thing that our insider noticed is that they have covered the hood with a metal plate, probably to cover the new hood that the new AMG cars will have. We have found out that the future AMG hoods will have a bulge similar to what the first-gen SLK had. Enjoy, be be warned, the guys are a bit obnoxious.
After watching the video a couple of times, I can’t stop thinking that the video is somehow staged. I mean the way they acted and talked was bit weird. The funny thing is that when the test driver came out of store, he just kept yelling “nein, nein, nein” wouldn’t he also say something other than that. Is it possible that Merc is trying to do some viral video marketing, if so that is cool, if not, than those guys are some obsessed and crazy AMG fans, which isn’t bad either.
