The new smart fortwo cdi is even more environmentally friendly than expected. The vehicle certification process that has now been completed also established fuel consumption under standard conditions of just 3.3 liters per 100 kilometers. The temporary figure previously given was 3.4 liters per 100 kilometers.
Even more so than before the new smart fortwo cdi has the lowest CO2 emissions of any car on the market today. At present there is no more economical and climate-friendly car than the smart fortwo cdi.
So, ladies and gentlemen, what does this mean for you. Well if you are environmentally conscious, then this car (the cdi version) is definitely for you.
If you are in the market for an SL350 or SL500, you might want to consider getting this optional sport package that will surely give you an even bigger ego-bust. The sport package will be comprised of perforated leather and aluminum trim in a fresh new look that set the tone for the sporty and luxurious ambiance. While the inside receive all this goodness, the outside wasn’t left untouched either; with large wheels that have the five-spoke design, it dominates the picture, while also setting off the silver-painted front brake to a particularly stunning effect. Setra has delivered its 90,000th bus since the brand was established in 1951. The S 416 HDH, a new generation TopClass 400 touring coach, was handed over to bus company Arnold Reisen in Dietmannsried, near Kempten in the German Allgà¤u region, at the end of February 2007. It was also the 30,000th vehicle to be built since the establishment of the EvoBus GmbH company, under whose management Setra touring coaches and rural regular-service buses have been developed, produced and sold since 1995. EvoBus is a wholly owned subsidiary of DaimlerChrysler AG.

Ever wanted to build your own Mercedes, well these guys did. This is not just any Mercedes, but a Mclaren SLR that they built from what seems to be an old American muscle car. There isn’t much detail on how he transformed the car into the SLR, but the images provide a nice storyline on how it happend.

Update: Some people have pointed out that the car they started out with was a 500SEC and not a American muscle car, which I mistakenly thought it was. Either way, the transformation looks very good from the outside, but we have no way of telling how the interior turned out, which for some people is the more important part.
Mercedes-Benz is unveiling its highly environmentally-compatible BLUETEC emission-control technology in combination with a consumption-optimized four-cylinder engine for the first time at the 2007 Geneva Motor Show. In terms of ensuring compliance with the even stricter EURO 6 emission standard, applicable to all new vehicles Europe-wide from 2015, the Vision C 220 BLUETEC shows the way ahead. Boasting an output of 125 kW (170 hp) and a peak torque of 400 Nm, the Vision C 220 BLUETEC now requires 5.5 liters of diesel per hundred kilometers, thanks largely to modified diesel engine technology and an intelligent system of energy management.
Head over to Autobild, where they have a whole section dedicated to the E-class. While it won’t come out in a couple of years, they have already created a photoshopped design that looks amazing. Will the final one look similar to the one pictures above? I can say with certainty that they have gotten the new C-class right, years before it came out. It could be possible that they somehow know what the new E-class should look like.
We definitely know that it is time for a new E-class, not just because the S-class and C-class have been released, but because sales have slowed down for the E-class in recent years. They need a new model that will bring a fresh image to the E-class. I find the current model just amazing, but I am not the target audience here, regular folks are, and they have spoken.
Mercedes-Benz engineers are currently developing a new, prestigious luxury limousine with integrated highest protection for governments, businesses, monarchs and heads of state. The armoured Pullman Limousine is based on the long version of the S 600 with a substantially extended wheelbase length. The Mercedes-Benz State Limousine therefore provides a level of roominess worthy of its high-ranking occupants, not to mention outstanding comfort and a fully equipped mobile office. The S 600 Guard Pullman sees the world’s oldest car manufacturer continuing its long tradition of building large state carriages with factory-integrated special-protection features.
Smart will be presenting the two BRABUS variants of the new smart fortwo to the public for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show (06 – 18 March 2007)
Rated at 72 kW / 98 bhp, the smart fortwo BRABUS and smart fortwo BRABUS Xclusive have more than 30 percent more engine power than the BRABUS variant of the predecessor model. At the same time the low consumption and low CO2 emissions demonstrate that this does not have to come at a cost to the environment and customers’ wallets.
In addition, the two BRABUS variants boast an extremely low weight to power ratio: at just 7.8 kg/bhp this is 24 percent lower than that of the previous BRABUS variant.
