One impressive Mercedes G55 AMG was recently spotted in China. This particular G-Class featured major modifications in its body plus engine upgrades, and it was rechristened as the Brabus G-K8. According to CarNewsChina, the Brabus G-K8 was introduced at the FB-Show 2015 held in Beijing. The most noticeable aspect of the SUV was its extra two-meter overall length as its middle was stretched to transform it into a limousine. After announcing its new partnership with Qualcomm in the development of wireless charging units for its electric vehicles, Mercedes-Benz went on to make a deal with another tech giant. According to Reuters, Daimler just forged a tie with Baidu in China. Baidu is a web services company operating in China. Its services are similar to Google like providing Chinese language search engine for websites, images, and multimedia files. Aside from Concept GLC Coupe, Mercedes-Benz also unveiled its C200L 4MATIC sedan at the 2015 Shanghai Motor Show. The car is the long wheelbase version of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class. In addition, the car is the first model in the Chinese C-Class segment to get the 4MATIC system, according to CarNewsChina. The long wheelbase Mercedes-Benz C-Class 4MATIC is a unique model as it features both a sporty and stretched design. The car would be exclusively available to customers in China. Mercedes-Benz Slapped with $56.5M Fine for Price-Fixing in China

Things are taking a tough turn for foreign automakers in China. Mercedes-Benz, in particular, was slapped with an expensive fine for being guilty of price-fixing in the country. According to a BBC report, Mercedes was penalized for a total of 350 million yuan or approximately $56.5 million for its misconduct in the Chinese market. Even local dealers selling the luxury vehicles offered by the brand were not spared as they were also required by a Jiangsu-based consumer watchdog to pay around 7.7 million yuan. Mercedes-Benz recently unveiled the photos of its Concept GLC Coupe. A teaser image of the concept SUV was also shown through a tweet of the Stuttgart-based auto manufacturer hours prior to the vehicle’s official public debut. The upcoming compact SUV certainly showed a striking resemblance with the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe, which production just started at the Tuscaloosa plant of the three-pointed star marque. The GLC Coupe is more like a toned down or more compact form of the GLE Coupe. A new Mercedes recall was set in motion once more. Last Monday, Daimler released a statement about a new recall involving its Mercedes-Benz cars. According to the company, around 149,000 vehicles under the three-pointed star brand will be affected. Among the models covered by the decision were the E-Class and CLS-CLass built within 2012 up to 2014. Then, the areas affected are China and Germany. A cool Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe was recently spotted in China. The subject was seen in the Dongba area in far east Beijing, according to CarNewsChina. It came in a nice matte gray wrap with a black coating on its roofing. Some might find the gray wrap of this C63 AMG Coupe rather bland, but the way that the coating plays with natural light is just awesome when observed up close.
